List of Dr. Deborah Altemus's Reviews
I like doctor Altemus shes very friendly and i will also recommended and shes listed.. i way sometime but shes very good and also i felt very comfortable.. my son is a pt of her too treatment for acne and my son is very happy with the medicine she prescribe
I showed up with a melanoma on my arm that had been there awhile. Dr. Altemus immediately made me aware of the gravity of the situation, and stayed after work the following day (along with Hattie, one of the nurses at this office) to surgically remove it, despite their fully-booked schedule. Her skill during this procedure was clearly evident. Dr. Altemus helped coordinate my follow on treatment with an oncologist and surgeon. The follow up care that I got from both Dr. Altemus and Hattie was excellent. I have not encountered such competent, caring and compassionate medical care in a very long time. I would recommend Dr. Altemus without hesitation. She put a very human face on my treatment at a really difficult moment in my life.
First impressions count. I am far from impressed. In any case, despite the reviews on Dr. Altemus, I thought I would give her a chance. I know what does and does not work for me but I wanted to revisit one of the prescriptions made by another doctor in her group, who has left the practice. In the meantime, I wanted to refill a prescription until such time that she could see me. They couldn't get me in right away so I figured they would at minimum refill the prescription so I wouldn't be without care. They wouldn't go for it and the explained that it was because I hadn't seen one of their doctors in months. Most dermatologists want to schedule you for four-week intervals but I don't have that kind of time and my visits happened once a quarter. Uh, the doctor I had been seeing left and never told me! Anyway, they weren't willing to budge on the prescription, which would have kept my skin under control until I could get in. They acted like I couldn't be trusted to show up for a consult. In turn, I doubted they would be able to provide care. Trust goes both ways.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
