I was referred to Dr.Hahn by a friend. I was having a horrible time with menopause and digestion. I didn’t want to go the HRT path so I decided to give acupuncture a try. I have been seeing Dr.Hahn for about 4 weeks now and it is nice to work with someone who understands my body. She has helped me get my digestion and hot flashes under control and honestly I am just mad I didn’t start seeing her sooner. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling and wants a more holistic approach to things. Thanks Dr.Hahn.

Dr. Renee was very helpful with my stomach issues that came out of nowhere. While my doctor was ready to put me on life long meds, Dr. Hanh took a look at my whole body. She spoke to me about my diet and life style choices. After a few sessions, making some dietary changes, and taking some recommended herbs, I started to see healing. I've been meaning to leave a review for years now, but you know how that goes. Renee gave me my life back! Years ago, I experienced an ocular migraine so severe that I had to call 911. I barely managed to dial because I started losing my sight, then my memory, and my body felt like it was having a heart attack--numb and unable to feel or think clearly. When the paramedics arrived, I couldn't even remember my own name and feared I was having a heart attack. After all the tests, it turned out to be some form of ocular migraine, but afterward, I couldn't move my head or do much of anything. I was plagued by constant, terrifying headaches. Traditional Western medicine offered only migraine medications, which had severe side effects and didn't really address my condition. I tried everything--acupuncture, chiropractic care--which provided some relief, but the true life-changing breakthrough came with cranial sacral therapy. Within weeks, my life began to transform. It was like my entire body realigned in a way I had never experienced before. I now visit Renee at least once a month; sometimes, if I'm feeling good, I skip a while, but whenever I feel imbalanced, I return, and it's truly miraculous. The physical healing is profound, but it's difficult to put into words because it also profoundly affects the neurological aspects and aligns my cranial sacral system all the way up to my head. I wish I could articulate it better, but truly, Renee's cranial sacral therapy has been my lifeline. I'm incredibly grateful and thankful for her; she's amazing not only with cranial sacral therapy but also with acupuncture and other herbal remedies. Renee is fantastic! I had been dealing with significant shoulder pain and numbness (associated with a pinched nerve) for months. I was taking high doses of Advil round the clock and seeing a PT with very minimal results. Feeling desperate, I decided to try acupuncture and Renee came highly recommended by a friend. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical that "needles and herbs" would bring me relief, but I am now completely convinced. After just a couple of sessions my shoulder was DRAMATICALLY better. I was completely off Advil within a week and I'm so glad I took a chance on Renee.

I was so happy and pleased with my work with Dr. Hahn. I suffered a traumatic brain injury 2 months ago in August due to a violent attack. My face had scar tissue along with the back of my head, and I had trouble sleeping and with mobility. I have seen wonderful improvement mentally and physically, and I can say that was at least in part due to the treatment I did with Dr. Hahn. My scar tissue greatly reduced and my sleep greatly improved. I'm very pleased and so thankful. Thank you very much Dr. Hahn! Highly recommend!

Renee is a great acupuncturist and herbalist. On her services menu she offers cranial sacral therapy along with acupuncture which is a nice combination. She has recommended herbs that have significantly helped me in various ways. She seems to have a talent for finding the appropriate treatment and herbs to address my individual needs.

If not, just skip to the last paragraph. About three years ago I was suffering from randomly timed flashback auras and twice within six months I fainted after an aura. Working in the medical field, that's was not an acceptable health issue. After multiple specialists saw me, neurologists said I have epilepsy and should be on an anti epileptic. I had a hard time believe this diagnosis without any evidence in my brain tests and scans. About two years ago when I was racking up health bills seeing specialists trying to figure out what was going on, I decided to try holistic medicine. The first session Renée took the time and we thoroughly went through my health history. I had seen all of these specialist doctors and they just worked on ruling things out within their field. Renee wasn't trying to rule anything out. All of the things going on in my life and in my body were interrelated. I ran hot, I had night sweats, pretty bad insomnia, and mood crashes/panic attacks that resulted in cathartic breakdowns. I felt I had little to no control over my emotional being and, now with fainting, over my physical being. After a few sessions my auras got more frequent. I was freaking out 'what's happening, what did you do?'. Renée said this is normal. We are slowly getting rid of blockages and helping circulate your blood. I wasn't certain what was happening but something was happening. Sure enough, after another couple of sessions the auras subsided. They auras were very random. Sometimes a few times a day, sometimes weeks or years in between them. Sometimes they lasted 2-5 seconds, sometimes 15. Sometimes I would be fine, other times I was exhausted. I had only been seeing Renee for a month and I was not having any! On top of the acupuncture and craniosacral therapy sessions I started taking herbs. I went to see Renée every week. I was finally not afraid of my own brain and body anymore. Unfortunately, to legally work in my field it was necessary for a doctor to clear me. That required being put on anti epilepsy medication. I was scared but I knew that acupuncture treatment with Renee was working for me. Renee also used a technique called gua sha (which is similar to cupping but with different tools) on my back and upper neck. This process is used to oxygenate the blood and increase blood circulation. The darker the marks and the longer the recovery period means the less oxygen is in the blood. My marks, or 'sha' were pretty dark and took about a week for the marks to go away fully. After more sessions, it was amazing to see how light the marks were and quick the recovery period was. Overall, my immune system was stronger and my blood circulation was clearly better. Renee's determination and commitment to get my body to nourish itself inspired me to put in the effort to taking herbs regularly and making lifestyle changes. About a year and a half ago I developed psoriasis or eczema or a combination of both on my palms. It may have been from various stresses, changes of life, and perhaps the anti epilepsy medication. Renee gave me many options for healing but I was getting frustrated with the lack of improvement. I sought out a Western doctor. They said every flare would take about three weeks to run its course and to apply steroids onto the inflamed areas twice a day. I chose the holistic route, applying the Chinese medicine herbal ointment a couple times a day for about a week. My palms slowly healed and there are no residual marks or scars from the boils and abscesses! I rarely get flares now but when I do the ointment keeps the eczema at bay. It had become a pattern in my life. I had a medical issue, it was glanced at, and I was written a prescription and sent out the door. Renee changed my life. That being said, acupuncture and herbs come with a price tag and insurances don't 'cover' it with your typical copay. TCM with Renee is 100% worth the money. Acupuncture is offered almost everywhere in San Francisco. Renee is different. She is dedicated to get to the root of any problem you have whether it's stress, muscle pain, or psyche imbalance.I have received the best quality care from Renee that I ever have from any medical professional. I actually found Renee on Yelp! I hope this review helps people see how vast her scope of knowledge is, and how quickly she works to resolve any issue you come to her with. It is also mind blowing how she always puts her patients first yet finds a way to continue her education and acquire more certifications. Take the time and go see Renee. I first went to see Dr. Hahn when I was struck with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome that had caused facial paralysis on the right side. It was a devastating experience as it came on so suddenly and the ENT said that the paralysis may be permanent. Unlike the ENT, Dr. Hahn told me that once my body heals the movement in my face will return. She was warm and caring when I was at my emotional and physical worst. Her treatments were what kept me positive during those dark times. Fast forward 4 months, I am about 95% better and can't thank her enough for getting me here. I have been seen by specialists at Stanford Hospital and have been told that I have made a remarkably fast recovery compared to other RHS patients. Dr. Hahn truly cares about her patients and their well being from inside out - I feel truly lucky to have found her.
