Eric Lim's Online Review Report Card

This office is too busy not doing anything for their patients. The medical assistant Ellen always have an attitude when you addressed them of how they never return their patients calls to book an appointment. Then she has the nerve to say find another doctor I stated Dr. Lim is not the problem its the medical assistants that are not doing their due diligence including her. I been trying to get an appointment for my father but its impossible as they are not answering phone calls or returning call back. Improve your service people!!!!!

When I visited Dr. Lim in July, 2018, he asked me to take a blood and stool test. He told me that I would get a followup result from him.I waited for almost 2 months patiently, but no followup call or letter has been received. I finally called his office in September but all of my 3 attempts failed. My call to Dr.Lims direct line was automatically cutoff as soon as I tried to leave a message after the beep. The message that I left on the office phone has never been responded to. It was not until next Monday that I was able to get a hold of someone. I explained the situation and the girl told me that they did not inform me because my test was normal. Really? Thats not what all of my previous doctors did. They all did inform me either by call or letter regardless of the result. The receptionist at Dr. Lims office only reluctantly agreed to send the result after I asked. I also asked her why she didnt return my call the previous week. She blatantly lied that she DID!  Oh my God, I may not be the smartest cooky in the box but I know how to check my voice mail. After all, I had been waiting for the call from Dr. Lims office all day.My experience with Dr. Lim was very disappointing.

Great doctor. Hes my primary care physician and Im so happy for that. Hes awesome and very smart.

This physician has far too many patients to keep up with them all!  The office is like waiting in a train station and the service is nil.  I feel like a welfare patient. Should have stuck with Stanford Health!   I took an allergy test a month ago and cant get a returned call concerning the results; whatever they are.  I called twice a day everyday for the past four days and have received no return call and Dr. Lim does not respond to any pages.  Finally I drove the 30 miles to San Francisco where I have to go to see him and they were out to lunch.  Knocked on the side door. They came, said they would get the doctor and two hours laterNADA!  Its bad enough I feel like Im allergic everything I breathe, eat, or drink, but getting no response to tests and facing a nonresponsive doctor and staff exacerbates the matter.  Would I recommend this healthcare professional?  Sadly, no, unless you dont mind feeling bad physically and want to be on the edge of going ballistic to boot. Give me my medical records and adios!  Get a medical partner to help out with your patient load Dr. Lim. This is bad medicine and very bad business.

Dr. Lim is a very caring and thorough Doctor. He runs a very busy practice but takes the time to explain even tough diagnostics. I was able to get a walkin appointment in the morning and went in quite quickly. I got to the office around 8:45 and was third on the list. I was seen around 9:45 (they did not start seeing patients until 9:30a) His staff is also very busy but personable and caring. I had much difficulty figuring out who accepted my insurance for a test and they cleared up the entire situation quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Lim as a PCP. He was assigned to me randomly through my insurance and I feel lucky that I got him!I saw another review noted they had to pay $15 for a disability signature. Having worked in a doctors office myself I know what goes into the analysis and followup paper work of such a request and $15 is quite low and reasonable for such a request. Also office is in St Lukes. There is Peets coffee in the lobby. Wifi available but not working at the time of my visit.

Dr Lim has a busy practice but he has seen me 2x on short notice.  Every time he is detailed and informative.  He gives me medical advice as his strong and professional medical opinion but he does not shove it down my throat as like his word is god.  I like his demeanor.  He appears calm and caring.He asks if I have questions and he listens.  He makes sure I understand the answers.  I never feel rushed to finish so he can get to the next patient.  His staff are busy  yet just as kind and personable as he is.  Never a problem during any of my appointments.  In fact, I find they surpass my expectations each time.

Dr.Lim is very nice but what keeps me away from his office are his receptionists. And yes it is the same rude lady from fifteen years back

Dr. Lim is sort of oldschool when it comes to treatment strategies.  He told me not to eat any meat, just steamed fish with vegetables.  Not exactly the nutrition the pyramid had preached!  He tested my blood sugar & since it was high, he immediately put me on insulin without checking my A1C!  He tells me things that are contradictory to what the Diabetes Center at St. Lukes says.  I would get a 2nd opinion from another doctor if Dr. Lim recommends some drastic medication.  Also his office charges $15 just for his signature.  I applied a temporary handicap to the DMV & needed a signature.
