I have never felt the need to write a review before until now. The pandemic has made us all take note of our health and I noticed an abnormal discolored mole on my thigh that needed attention. I had let it slide longer than I should have, and the abnormal growth was concerning.  I dread dealing with doctors, appointments, taking off work, etc. and now Covid19. I reached out to Francis Hsiao, MD at California Skin Institute. He and his staff were very thorough and polite making it extremely easy to make an appointment on a Saturday. I found Dr. Hsiao to be very educated, polite, and talkative. I ended up getting MOHS surgery (7 stiches). The entire process was quick and stress free. I highly recommend Dr. Francis Hsiao.

DR Hsiao has treated me for squamous cell cancer of my leg, just a pimple that wouldn't heal. He knew immediately what it was and excised it. Unfortunately I went on an extensive walking vacation (not a great idea) and the wound opened again. I had a recurrence and had to have surgery again, I was worried about recurrence and actually got a second opinion, totally unnecessary as it turned out. The other dermatologist said Dr Hsaio had done everything he would have done, exactly. DR Hsaio is gentle natured and gives advice in a non judgmental manner. (I smoke) but let me know it would impact wound healing. (It did )He is one of the best doctors I have met, very thorough, kind and caring.

I saw Dr. Hsiao in Pacific Heights, San Francisco for cosmetic procedures. He recommended several types of treatments. After a few months, I have never looked better!! Dr. Hsiao has the hand of an artist. I look natural, and appropriately youthful. I did not think it was possible. I highly recommend him for any cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Hsiao is amazing. A doctor that listens, cares what patient's concern and really has help me. I had a long time non-healing ulcerate papule, it was suspected a early stage skin cancer. After consult with several pathologist, In fact it was a benign skin papule. finally, Dr. Hsiao did excision to the skin papule. The procedure was done perfect. Now, It heals very well. I would recommend my friend to see him if they suffer from a skin trouble.

I got diagnosed with a skin cancer on my nose, and was very depressed. My doctor sent me to Dr. Hsiao for Mohs surgery. Dr. Hsiao made me feel vey comfortable immediately. He had to go in a couple times, but was able to cure me of the cancer. He then did some plastic work on my nose, and I can barely see any scar! I am happy to recommend this surgeon to anyone who needs cancer surgery.

After giving births to three kids, I am ready to do something for myself.  I hated my sagging stomach and wrinkles.  Dr. Hsiao recommended several procedures.  Now I look great and feel amazing.  My friends and husband complement me, but they do not know about my secret.

I have a busy life and have many public speaking engagements at work.  It was devastating to have a skin cancer on my face.  Dr. Hsiao was very professional, and put me at ease.  After removing the cancer, he was able to hide the scar in my smile line.  I am very relieved that I have no visible scar, and people don't know that I had a skin cancer.  I recommend him for skin cancer surgery.
