Dr. Pudberry is the best doctor Ive ever had. He is thorough and does not overprescribe. He is determined to help, and he stays on top of his game, always seeking the best treatment possible. His assistant is also very helpful, kind and accommodating. I highly recommend them.

I have been a patient with Dr.Pudberry for awhile now and he is the worst.I need a prescription renewed, I have to come in for a blood pressure test and I get weighed That way he can Bill Medicare .Even during this pandemic, he wont call in a prescription unless he gets paid.This is the first doctor that refuses to give me refills, that way he has me over a barrel and the meds Im receiving is something that can be had online ,but MediCare saves me $60.00 a month and this quack knows it.If I actually needed medical help, he simply refers to a doctor that knows what hes doing.Hes great for folks that need a shoulder to cry on.

The best Doctor I have ever seen! My family and I go to him for all health problems. He is Kind, Communicative, and very Professional. He really cares about people!

THIS MAN SAVED MY LIFE! HE IS A LEGEND IN MY LIFE STORY, told many times!When I was much younger years ago, I was a young mother and very ill.I was diagnosed with diabetes. I had 2 doctors tell me I would shoot insulin for life. I found a third opinion; Dr. Pudberry. He also suggested insulin, but respected my desire to try to beat it with diet. I signed the waver and he spent HOURS with me devising a diet. He gave me an extended glucose test and we found I went high and low over hours of time. He gave me a diet that took everything into consideration, devised for ME. He spent so many hours with me and I beat the disease, never to return! I later joined the military, raised my children, and told the story of how he saved me with a diet, in a time when other MDs would not even take nutrition into consideration. A true pioneer, that knows his stuff. I will always be forever grateful and his name is a legend in my life story!  Yes, he has books everywhere, and he went through many of them finding the right answers for me. He asked me questions regarding my metal health, as thoughts and mindset play a big part in our physical health. Doctors did not understand that back then, but he did. He takes his time, he thinks, he is right on with his conclusions. He also says it like it is, and one needs a doctor that is honest, not looking to politically correct! He is not for snowflakes. He spent more time figuring out my medical puzzle than he ever got paid for.  A messy desk is a sign of genius according to science. Thank you for giving me my life back Dr. Pudberry. Tamara Roosa. inc.com/geoffreyjames/a… If your looking for a doctor to prescribe you antibiotics, pain pills, and get you in and out as quick as possible, while stroking your ego, he is not for you. He is a real doctor! He does things other doctors wont do, as it does not pay and is not usually appreciated, unless your really sick. Those of us, that he gave our lives back to, appreciate the honest candor and a doctor that says what we need to hear, not what we want to hear. Thats because he actually cares! He does not want your explanations and petty chatter, he is a genius and has questions that he just needs honest answers to, as he is putting it altogether in His head with years of experience. This is what saved my life!

I am sad at the poor reviews here and the harsh words.  Dr. P is up in age yes but he knows his stuff.  He can seem a little slow at times with his responses because he cant hear well, but he is very precise.  He is a great osteopath Dr.  I came there with bad pain in my upper cervical spine that I have had for years and spend thousands of dollars on meds, and other procedures that never helped me.  He did a manipulation that is similar to chiropractic but no cracking and much more gentle.  He then did a nerve test on me to take a closer look at where my issues were.  He gave me what is called prolotherapy and is a natural pain block that aids in healing and much different from a cortizone shots which masks pain and doesnt help with healing and is temporary.His prices are good and he takes A LOT of time with you. He doesnt have a packed schedule like all doctors.  This was a much different experience than most Doctors who make you feel like a number.He is helping my pain that is all I know.His office is different and has some antique medical stuff and is NOT dirty at all.  I think is is kind of cool that he is old school.

When I moved from Virginia to California in 2000, my doctors in Virginia recommended hisr teacher, Dr. Eugene Pudberry. I am so grateful for this recommendation. During our first meeting Dr. Pudberry told me, I knew what my health issues were; it was up to him to help me tell him. And he did by listening carefully and asking questions to help me tell him my issues. Over the years his accurate medical diagnoses, medical testing when required, and resulting treatments or referrals to appropriate medical physicians have solved my hemorrhoids, food allergies, unstable joints through nonsurgical ligament reconstruction therapy, leaking bladder through surgery insertion of a sling, weight and posture control, just to name a few. His extensive formal and continuing education provide his patients current information. And Dr. Pudberry is practical, offering when possible the least expensive solutions. For all these reasons I now travel from my current home in Oregon for yearly visits.

I recently moved to SF and was looking for a primary care physician to manage my prescriptions. I searched through my insurance and this guy was near me. OK, first of all, he is very nice, but unfortunately is very much a senior citizen. He seemed like a flash from a bygone era. My insurance issues digital insurance cards, but he didnt know how to look at my phone. Then, when his assistant showed up, she was typing my record with a TYPEWRITER! Yes, in 2017 in SF (the tech capital of the world). The office was in a horrid disorder, boxes everywhere and old, yellowedout documents everywhere. I had to do a bunch of lab exams, and usually it is the doctor who tells me what I need. I had to fill the lab form myself and bubble in the tests I thought I needed, because they didnt know. Fortunately, the lab was in the same building. I was never called back for the results, I rather find a real doctor trained in 21 century medicine.

Two years in a row Ive had swimmers itch having never had it before or known about it before in my life. When I went in to see Dr. Pudberry the first time he suspected a food allergy, even though I told him specifically that it seems like I got some rash after swimming in the ocean in Mexico. The second time he saw me after I swam in a lake over a summer. Both times Dr. Pudberry refused to listen to my recitation of my medical history and recollection of my experiences and instead insisted that I had symptoms of a nasty food allergy. This guy either doesnt listen to his patients or hasnt seen enough patients to treat people who show signs of anything but the common cold. Worse still when I went to the specialists he wanted me to see they had no idea who he was. Would not recommend.

Dr. Gene Pudberry has been our family primary care physician for decades. He is a superbly skilled professional and a true gentleman who sincerely cares about his patients. His concern for you extends well beyond appointments, as we have often found him to have researched the latest medical information on a current problem intensely and exhaustively on his own time, to ensure that all avenues for care and cure are pursued. In a world of impersonal, profitmotivated health care, Dr. Pudberry is one of the vanishing breed of doctors you always imagined yours should be. Well, here he is! Note that he is very honest, direct, and frank when discussing your health with you, whether or not you enjoy hearing it. My guess is that this candor, which is invariably constructive, is the actual reason for the grumpy Yelps Ive seen here. Dont expect Dr. P to pander tp or excuse bad habits on your part!

I saw this doc some time ago, but I came in with a swollen and sore throat. I was in terrible pain. The first thing I noticed was the cluttered and disorganized office there were stacks and stacks of newspapers and boxes in the waiting and exam room.  I had to move some of the newspaper to find a seat.  Pudberry looked at my throat and prescribed a highdose of Vitamin C and sent me on my way.  I took the vitamins for a week and still in misery.  Went to another doc, who diagnosed me with strep throat and antibiotics.  This guy should not be practicing and Im surprised he hasnt been hit with a malpractice suit by now...
