George Kimmerling's Online Review Report Card

Dr Kimmerling has been our family doctor for 40 years. Words cannot express the knowledge that Dr. Kimmerling has. He truly saved my husband‘s life when he was in his 30s. He is excellent at diagnosing and his referrals for specialist doctors are always the best! His assistant, Leila, is also a gem. We wouldn’t ever think of leaving his office until he retires. Wonderful human beings!

Dr. Kimmerling is very good as a doctor and he knows his stuff, but more importantly over the years he has demonstrated that he really cares about his patients.

this guy knows his stuff and he is well connected in the world of endocrinology. i went to see 2 eye specialists regarding my thyroid eye and they both knew him by name and reputation.initially, i was apprehensive about seeing him after some of the negative reviews on here and some other medical review website which blatantly accused him of harassment. (for the record, ladies, you take off only your shirt and wear the paper gown over everything for the exam.)what i encountered was no nonsense doctor with a sort of quirky/oddball sense of humor. you wont get any coddling here, but what you will get is a wealth of information and experience. he always ends every appointment with do you have any questions? and then he will take the time to cover in depth all of your concerns. he will not, however wave you goodbye, or even say goodbye. *like i said he is odd that way*as for his receptionist, she is his match. often times curt, she doesnt initially come across as nice or friendly, but i think that is just her personality. by the 2nd visit she had warmed up to me, and now she gives me a cheery BYE! when i make appts with her over the phone. more importantly she is organized and gets everything faxed/ sent on time.bottom line, dr kimmerling is a nice man, professional and knowledgeable. if you want the hug and a lollipop following each visit its probably best you look elsewhere.

When my husband and I arrived in San Francisco to treat his liver cancer, we needed an endocrinologist. A friend told us Dr. Kimmerling might see us because, even though he wasnt taking new patients, he was a kind and generous person. Dr. Kimmerling offered to see us the very next evening at the end of his long day, and was so warm and reassuring. I will never forget how much lighter and supported we both felt after seeing him. And I felt such relief, that here was a person who not only had the expertise we needed, but also the heart to embrace us and all of our needs. It has meant so much to me.
