Jesse Dohemann's Online Review Report Card

Best PCP in the world. Quality over quantity is his Motto. Most Caring MD ive EVER MET! Yes he runs late but thats because he wants to be thorough in the responses he provides his patients. Front desk AFTER HIS MOVE was terrible during the initial year but i feel like it has improved. My messages always get through to him now. Never leaving his practice! Thanks Dr. D for being a doctor more concerned about their patients health versus seeing as many patients as you can in 8 hrs. YOU ARE THE BEST!

I LOVE Dr. Dohemann. He is wonderful, kind and compassionate. He found a serious condition that I had without me even knowing it. As much as I love him is as difficult as it is to get speedy responses from his front desk. Nonetheless, I still LOVE Dr. Dohemann.

Jesse has been my MD for many years, was always very attentive and excellent. But since he moved offices, the system has entirely broken down and is terrible. Multiple calls requesting routine labs, med refills or a call back fall by the wayside. Getting an appointment takes months. I dont blame Jesse but he should at least know that long standing patients like me now have zero access:

Dr. Dohemann is a brilliant, well informed and INTUITIVE doctor.  He has the sensitivity to intuit when an issue will heal itself, or if further action is necessary.  He is totally honest and truly caring.I trust him with my life, which he saved after the ER doctor failed to diagnose that I was dying from an infected appendix. When I was finally able to see Dr. D he immediately figured it out.  I was rushed to surgery and would have died in 4 hours, so said the attending nurse.  If you are blessed enough to get this mega busy doctor, consider yourself extremely lucky!

Dr. Dohemann is the physician that everyone would want.  He has been my primary physician for 20 years and has now been my daughters primary physician for the past 10 years she raves about him.  He really takes the time to listen to his patients and openly discusses everything and anything with you and you feel comfortable telling him anything   I went to see him a few years ago after apparently breaking several ribs in my back after a fall following his examination and xrays to confirm the situation he discussed how long the healing would take and how to manage the discomfort I then asked him what the chances would be for me to crew on a 3 day ocean sailboat regatta six weeks from then he said you will be kinda ok day 1; you will be in a great deal of pain day 2; and you will jump off the boat before the end of day 3.   I got the message.Also, there is never a sense of time pressure during your appointment with Dr. Dohemann he is focused on you as a patient 100%.  I have at times sat longer in his waiting room for my appointment but I dont care because that means he is spending the time necessary with whoever is in front of me and I will get the same consideration when it is my turn.

One day I had an appointment with Dr Jesse because I had been sweating at night, so much so, I had to change my sheets 3x. Of course I went online to try to figure out what it was, and became frightened when I learned that it could be TB. But for me, It was worse. I was a women in her 30s inexplicably going through menopause. And I ADORED kids. But I was single, working, with no spouse in sight. Dr Dohemann called me with my test scores and I started sobbing, SOBBING! I said, this is just not what I planned for my life! And he quietly said, Its not what I would have planned for your life, either. And he just sat and listened. Ive never met a more compassionate doctor. I no longer live in San Francisco but Ive never forgotten the care and compassion he gave me.

Apparently, they will only take new patients if you have family members that already go there.....

Just called this morning (21715).Was told by receptionist Dr Jesse Dohemann does not accept new patients for the time being as hes too busy.Ive been in the US for over a year now, coming from Europe.  Health system is different here so can be sometimes hard to find my marks. Unlucky me, especially after reading all these great reviews.

Dr. Dohemann has been my PCP for over 10 years. He has never disappointed and has always provided exemplary care with kindness and courtesy.  I would never go to anyone else, despite the commute from the East Bay.  Love him!!

Dr D is the absolute Best. Compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent and proactive. I have been with him for 20 years and cannot imagine seeing any other Dr. He sees my entire family and I truly feel that we have been given the gift of Dr D.
