John Lai M's Online Review Report Card

The doctor was fairly nice and his staff seemed helpful and communicative. I came in for an appointment and despite being 10 mins early, had to wait over 15 mins past my actual appointment time to see the doctor. He was friendly but didnt seem to really be listening to what I was saying. He told me he wanted me to get some bloodwork done and explained the process for getting it done through their outside lab. Lucky for me, the lab was just two blocks away from the doctors office so was conveniently located within walking distance of my work. Unlucky for me? I went to the lab to get the blood drawn within 2 days yet never received follow up from Dr. Lai when the results had likely been in. After a few weeks, I reached out. Nothing. And this went on for a handful of times with the receptionist assuring he would contact me. I had to file a complaint with the insurance company before finally hearing back. I ended up getting my results a full 3 months past the bloodwork. Not fun knowing you could have had the information about your health way earlier to combat any problems discovered but due to the doctors neglect, you were prohibited from that. By far the longest Ive ever waited for test results! Quickly requested to change my primary physician!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lai a couple of weeks ago and he was very nice.  The appointment did not feel rushed.  He took his time listening to my health issues and was thorough with his examination.    The only inconvenience is I had to go to a different location for the lab test but otherwise had a great experience.

Dr lai has been my doctor for about 10 years, have NO regrets. Hes a friendly, knowledgeable guy and if you need to get in the same day, his staff will fit you in. youll love the guy....!!!

This weekend, I was wearing my brand new pair of luxuriously soft bamboo socks while walking downstairs with my shoes in left hand and baby shower gift in right hand.  All of a sudden...**WHOOSH!@#$% my right foot flew up in my face, my body flung itself in mid air, and my ass landed right smack in the middle step of my staircase.OWWWWWW!!!  (calling the emergency line for Dr. Lai) I need to see Dr. Lai as soon as possible...  Dr. Lai got me in right away.  His professionalism, coupled with slight hints of humor, helped soothe my immediate sense of dread, and his prescription for Vicodin (with refills) alleviated my suffering.  Thanks Dr. Lai!  My back and my ass thank you for your kindness and absolute compassion for those who are injured.
