Dr. Katz is a very caring neurologist. He is compassionate & listens. He answers all of your questions without, hesitation. You never feel like you are rushed. He dots his I's and crosses his T's before, he will give you a diagnosis. I appreciate that. You can tell he takes the time to get the tests you need done before, jumping into any conclusions. I would highly recommend him.

From my experience, Dr. Katz doesn't seem to be in touch with his patients. While sitting in with my 80 year old dad, who suffers short term memory, I noticed he doesn't take adequate notes during our meetings with him. Then, expects us to remind him what we discussed 6 months ago. His time management is inefficient. He runs thirty minutes to an hour late and he doesn't realize that our time is valuable too. If I could, I would charge my time on his tab. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Katz doesn't leave a good impression.

Horrible. The worst medical experience I’ve ever had.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Dr. Katz treated my girlfriend today and was inhumane, abusive, borderline torturous and absolutely wretched towards her. He didn't listen to her concerns or fears, and caused her severe emotional distress and trauma.He put her through extreme pain, and bleeding in her arms and neck, and proceeded to violate HIPPA by having a teenage boy in the room with her while she was disrobed. We are filing a formal HIPPA complaint for this and will be contacting our lawyer.

I agree with all the other very positive reviews. Extremely bright, professional, patient, and kind. I was originally diagnosed with ALS by a different doctor and visited Dr. Katz for a follow up visit. He looked at me closely, went over my test results one more time and realized that I probably had SBMA and ordered a DNA blood test to confirm. SBMA shares many symptoms with ALS, but has a much better prognosis. SBMA is extremely rare and not in many neurologists' playbooks. He was the third neurologist to see me, but the first to look outside of the more normal diseases towards one that better matched my symptoms. He is very straight forward and willing to answer all questions. I like straight answers, so I really appreciate his style.He was right, by the way - I have SBMA, which was like a gift after being initially told ALS.

I found Dr. Katz to be wonderfully affable and very astute. This energy carries over into the entire staff as well. His manner of explaining tests and conditions in a readily understandable manner is excellent. He not only understands the neurological aspects of these diseases, communicating these things clearly in a very relate-able way, he has a great deal of compassion and understanding of how his patients might feel about their situation.

I agree with Peter! Dr. Katz is a great listener and a very bright doctor. He treated my pinch nerve and now it's gone. Thank you doctor!

This was a very disappointing experience, i was referred by my PPO as he had good reviews, my arms are hurting with what seems like carpal tunnel, the diagnosis was "its in your head", i am an healthy individual, and it sucks to be going through this pain and having to ask for help, and he cant figure whats wrong. He even said, i cant do much till it gets worse. SOoo, i am supposed to wait till it gets bad and then go back to him....i have him the benefit of doubt and saw him twice, before i gave up, i could do better by webMDing the whole thing. Dont waste your time n money.

He spent his time looking at a computer screen, as usual. When he left the room for about 5 minutes I got up to see what was on my record and was appalled to see that he was reading a long email! Did less than a minimal neuro exam; didn't check for any sensation and said since I showed no muscular weakness or proprioceptive deficits, that I could go on my way. It didn't occur to him that the numbness made me fall and not able to feel pain. He was totally apathetic and condescending.
