List of Kaileen Yeh Md's Reviews
I was very surprised to see those reviews with nice words for this doctor, Kelvin Yeh, which absolutely opposed to my latest personal experience with him and with his staff in his clinic located in Monterey Park. In late November 2020, I visited him for my first time upon an appointment made 3 weeks prior over the phone with an authorization approved by Optum, the medical group of my insurer - LA Care. As a handicapped bus-riding senior walking with a stick, I had to depart from my home 3 hours in advance with much cushion time for that appointment. I arrived at his office 45 minutes prior to the appointment time, and was instructed to sit and wait after providing my ID and Insurance Card. In another hour, my name was called and the lady at the counter told me that I had no appointment that day and they won't take a walk-in patient. "Walk-in? How can it be possible?" I was totally shocked to hear this. It's absolutely nonsense and ridiculous. Regardless of how I showed my authorization letter and indicated the date I made my appointment over the phone, she kept saying there's no record relating to my case. Per my request, the office Supervisor came out, but she said exactly the same as what I heard from the counter lady with also exactly the same arrogant and ignoring attitude as hers. Evidently, what was said by the counter lady was actually instructed by the Supervisor from the back. However, while they were not prepared I made a quick request off their guard asking them to turn over the monitor of their working computer, and I saw my name and phone number was clearly shown on the screen. Had I not called to make an appointment, how can they have my contact information? Nevertheless, they still shamelessly insisted that there's no appointment schedule for me that day and I had to leave.During our conversation, I urged them multiple times to clarify with Dr. Yeh about his attitude toward what happened. The Supervisor confirmed back that Dr. Yeh fully understood what's going on outside, and it's his decision to refuse seeing me. I didn't quite understand the real reason why they acted so much out of the way --- maybe they didn't want to admit their scheduling mistakes, and maybe after comparing patients' insurance coverages they'd kick out the one of less interest. At last, I even told them that since I had spent hours getting there, I won't blame their mistakes and would not mind waiting until Dr. Yeh had time to see me. But, Dr, Yeh and his staff still turned their cold shoulder to me and pushed me, again a handicapped old man, out of their office. I immediately filed complaints with my insurer and my medical group, and very soon I received a phone call from a lady representing Dr. Yeh's office. She tried to calm me down not to file further complaints and offered me an opportunity to have Dr. Yeh see me. This time I refused right away because I didn't have any trust in a doctor with such impolite, unsympathetic, uncaring, and cold-hearted behaviors. She also promised that Dr. Yeh would call me in person to show his concerns. But, up until now I've never received his call throughout two months. Besides his inhuman attitude and behaviors I observed at his office, I am now also able to witness his dishonest personality. A really good medical doctor needs to have good medical professionalism as well as good medical ethics, and the latter is much much much more important than the former. I don't know how good Dr. Yeh's medical skill is, but even if he's medically knowledgeable and medically skillful, he can deserve at most one star only. The other four stars are for medical ethics, and based upon what I've seen in person, I think it's very fair for me to rate him "zero" on that aspect.
Kelvin Yeh is now working in Montreal Park. I had an appointment with him, but when I arrived at his office he refused to see me. His assistant definitely screwed up the scheduling; nevertheless, they didn't admit their mistakes but blamed on others. I've never thought that healthcare professionals can be so cold-blooded totally refusing admitting their own faults and totally ignoring a 70+ old man coming all the way for an appointment.
Dr. Yeh is super nice and does listen to you about worries etc but this review is really for the front office staff, they are AWFUL!!!! Rude, condescending, cee you next tuesdays. Beware!!!
I am so grateful to Dr. Kelvin Yeh. I had seen a couple of doctors for my gastrointestinal issues, but all they said is to take some Pepcid or avoid certain foods. However, those recommendations did not truly help as the symptoms kept coming back. With Dr. Yeh on the other hand, he gave me the right tools and guided me on the right path so I can manage my symptoms better. His recommendations worked for me. The most important thing is that Dr. Yeh is such a kind doctor. Besides the fact that he knows what he is doing, he will listen to you patiently, and he will not rush you. He will make sure all your questions are answered. I always left the office feeling more relieved because he put my concerns to ease and that's not something that all doctors can do. So thank you Dr. Yeh!
I came to Dr. Yeh after over a decade of horrible bloating that nobody could help me with- Not GI doctors, not acupuncturists, not nutritionists/homeopaths, not colon hydrotherapists, nothing. I was so discouraged that I almost canceled my appointment with Dr. Yeh. But- Thank god I didn't! Because after my visit to him, and his treatment plan, I experienced relief from my terrible bloating for the first time in my life. He prescribed me a very intentional antibiotic, followed by a very specific probiotic (as opposed to past doctors who, if anything, would just prescribe me something generic and tell me to go find a probiotic at Whole Foods), and followed up with me in a month to make sure his plan was effective. --And it was! Not only did he help me with my bloating issues, but he really took me seriously. He listened, and he believed me, unlike the approach a lot of other doctors take to IBS sufferers. He's also very sensitive- Sensitive to his patients' frustrations, and sensitive to their budget concerns. His bedside manner is very impressive, and he immediately put me at ease. Dr. Yeh is a rare gem in today's medical world. His patients aren't number to him- They are real people whose health he genuinely cares about.
I do not recomand Dr. Kelvin Yeh for any body unless that person has decided to die.He does not have experience no knolege no gust to say I do do not know and refer the patient to experinced espcialist. Those things cost my love one to delay to be diagnosed correctly and died.
Upon initial impression, this professional physician is unlike many others that I've seen over the last decade. Dr. Yeh is very personable and intelligent. I think his willingness to listen to his patients sets him apart from other G.I. Physicians. He is fairly young, so his overall education isn't from the 1960's.In my opinion, Dr. Yeh believes in overall lifestyle management to sustain health, whereas other physicians simply distribute prescription drugs to take care of illnesses for the quick, short-term answer.Overall, a five star physician with the ability to both identify and communicate with many diverse individuals.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
