I have loved everything about the experience with Dr. Horton and her whole team. They are all so supportive, friendly and professional. The office and OR are gorgeous and top of the line. I felt very taken care of and educated and prepared for my procedure.

Where to start...I am only 1 week post-op and already over the moon with my results. Dr. Horton is my saving grace! I am starting to gain a new found confidence that has been absent for YEARS. I underwent a very person procedure and have always been insecure about a certain part of my body. Dr. Horton is such an empathetic, compassionate, and beyond intelligent surgeon. As a woman, I felt so comfortable with her since my first consultation. This specific procedure is something that is very personal and I never thought I could have the confidence to walk around freely (naked) and feel good!!! If you are hesitant in booking a consultation with Dr. Horton - I hope this review aids in your decision. As a 24 year old woman, I was very nervous to trust any doctor with this procedure, but I took a risk - and it was the best decision of my life.Thank you Doctor Horton. You have no idea how much you help others every day.

My breasts were never "normal." Even when I was a teenager, when breasts should be as perky as they are ever gonna be, my nipples pointed at the ground. I just tried to pretend it didn't bother me because my breasts were not gonna be improved by simply adding implants. One day I had had enough and I started researching surgeons online. I came across Dr. Horton's gallery of before and after pictures and I was struck by two things: 1) she tackles hard cases and 2) she makes beautiful breasts. My surgery was a year ago, healing was a slow process, but I am so glad I found her and got brave enough to schedule a consultation. I am very happy with my outcome. DR. Horton is talented, down to earth, and supportive.

I have seen 5 plastic surgeons in order to correct a botched breast reduction. I cant say enough about this Doctor. Others could care less and rushed me out. I was a number to them. Karen took the time to ask me what I wanted and what was important to me. This women is not just an incredibly talented surgeon she is a human being who genuinely wants what is best for her patients. I have never been treated this way from any Plastic Surgeons I have seen. She is a breath of fresh air. I waited 3 months to see her and i can tell you she is worth it.

I wrote a positive review about Dr. Horton for a breast augmentation that occurred right after Christmas of 2019, shortly after it healed, and after she requested that I write one. I had never had elective surgery before and I was mostly nervous about how it would turn out. During the consult, she told me to provide "wish pictures" of the breast shapes that I wanted - and, in her words, this could include celebrities and pictures from other plastic surgeons websites. I very distinctly remember her saying, with a smile, "we could pretty much accomplish any shape you want."So I was sold! I found pictures from websites, and selected photos of olive-tan or dark-skinned celebrities who I found attractive. The reason why I chose these celebrities was because I myself, have dark skin and I made clear that I was concerned about scarring. When I came in for the second visit, she opened and quickly shut the folder with the "wish pictures" and abruptly told me, sternly, that "you will get what I give you." as if I were a child. This of course made me feel uncomfortable, but I decided to go through with the procedure given all of our prior discussions and I wanted to trust her.Dr. Horton kept assuring me that the scars would barely be visible and would hide under the breast fold.After the surgery, and during the healing process I emailed Dr. Horton with pictures of visibly open wounds, about an inch or more, where there were no signs of stitches. They leaked, and when I asked her about them she responded that it was no big deal, to just put more ointment on them and that they'll heal on their own. Later when they closed up, she instructed me to purchase an expensive topical cream where her nurse practitioner said to just "massage it in daily". This, as I expected, did nothing.Fast forward a couple of years after the surgery, the breast shape was fine but not nearly as large as I wanted (given my wide-set shoulders) but I convinced myself that it was fine. At that time the scars were supposed to be fully healed and I noticed that they became dark keloids that were visible outside of the fold, not under as she told me they would be. I wrote to Dr. Horton about how this impacted my self-esteem etc. and she agreed to give me steroid injections. The scars were still hypertrophic, very dark, and raised where she told me I had to purchase additional treatments from her nurse practitioner.I decided to receive second opinions from other plastic surgeons, and the reaction I got from one local physician was that the scars were unnecessarily large and hypertrophic - even for dark pigmented skin.I then tried to circle back to Dr. Horton and she refused to do anything. It looks like the scars were almost intentionally larger than they could have been.The trauma I feel from this issue has snowballed to a more deeper feeling of mistrust I have with people. The scars are mine to deal with, not hers. Granted yes, I can wear certain clothing with more confidence but the primary point of this surgery was so that I could feel better about my body and no I definitely do not feel comfortable being nude - which is not trivial.I do not recommend Dr. Horton if you have a specific result you want because she will do what she wants, despite what she tells you in the beginning. If you are looking for a "girlfriend" to chit chat with -- she can be pleasant. Is she good at marketing for girls/women? Maybe. But she is not a plastic surgeon that I would recommend. Her decision to ignore my concerns about scarring prior to surgery, as well as impose a size because "you will get what I decide you should get." felt intentional and is the kind of messaging one would give to a 5 year old.

Dr. Horton and her talented team have changed my life. I went in for a consult months ago after having been told by multiple surgeons that I needed highly invasive procedures (tummy tuck), they hadn't taken the time to truly understand my life goals and history. My first meeting with Dr. Horton was by itself incredible. I felt seen. She took the time to learn all about me as an individual, my life and health goals, and history. She then recommended a far less invasive option (lipo), was realistic about results I could expect, and how I should prepare. The process throughout prep, surgery and post-surgery care was spectacular. The team (especially nurse Emily) are caring, great listeners, knowledgeable and were a full service professional group that guided me through, including finding incredibly competent nurses for post surgery care. I've been INCREDIBLY happy with my post surgery results, and I couldn't recommend Dr. Horton and her team more highly. You will feel seen, heard, and fully taken care of like you deserve to be. Dr. Horton and her team are quite simply amazing! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my body. They are all very friendly and accomodating. I love the results of my BR surgery!!!
