Kenneth Hammerman's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Hammerman is one of the best, the very best doctors I have seen. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and truly cares. You can feel that Dr. Hammerman cares about what you are saying without judging you or rushing to conclusions while giving you time and complete attention. Thank you, Dr. Hammerman for being a truly wonderful doctor.

I booked my 2nd colonoscopy with Dr. Hammerman, but never got to it. The people in his office are just, flat out, incompetent. They booked the first appointment, called in the prep, then called me two days before the appointment and asked if Id had my COVID test. No, I hadnt. I didnt know I was supposed to. They said it was in the package that was mailed to me. I never received it. They cancelled the appointment, booked a new one. The woman I spoke to said I had to get my Covid test and she would send the preproceedure package again. They wouldnt email it or send it through the medical portal that my primary care doctor requires. I asked her where I could get a test and she rattled off a bunch of clinics, none of which were close to me. NOT A WORD about any certain kind of test. I booked a test at CVS, tested negative. Did the prep, which entails clear liquid diet for 36 hours and a very unpleasant bowel purge. Showed up an hour before my appointment and was told they dont accept the type of test I had taken. I was never told. They said they had called me twice, then recited two phone numbers Id never heard of. I received the mailed package after I already had the CVS Covid test. I need this test. Colon cancer has killed a number of my close relatives, but Im not sure when I can clear two days for the prep and procedure, but I absolutely wont go through Dr. Hammermans office. He may be a great doctor, who knows? But youre putting your fate in the hands of a front office that is flat out incompetent.

Poor customer service. Both his billing department and front desk associates confirmed he took my insurance, and then I was billed full price for the service. Note I had seen him before and had no issues (he dropped my insurance unbeknownst to me).I had to fight to get a reduction as my insurance wouldnt pay any of it. His team took ZERO accountability for misinforming me of his insurance even though I did the due diligence of following up. The appointment in dispute was in March 2020 and it took until now for his team to resolve the communication around this billing issue.As a doctor hes just ok. Appointments are dry, last 1015 min at best and when results come back inconclusive, he does not offer any innovative treatment ideas.

Dr. Hammerman is a listener. He never cuts me off or acts like some MDs who have a god complex. He explains everything in clear language and takes appropriate action. Im suffering from a rare disease. He has been so helpful in directing me to the best experts. I just cant give enough stars to him. I was lucky the day that another MD I trust told me to go to Hammerman for my issues and to be my regular General Practitioner. Also, every specialist or physical therapist knows him or has heard of him all positive reviews.

I dont normally like doctors, but I like this man. He is thorough, smart and really cares.

Dr. Hammerman is an outstanding Doctor and Individual.  He truly cares about his patients.  He is very thoughtful and attentive.  I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr. Hammerman because he has a quiet stillness that I believe only comes with confidence, knowledge, experience and  expertise. I always feel he is right there with ME, and very much  in the moment. He isnt thinking about the next patient. He makes me feel he knows what is going on with me and so far has been absolutely on point.. My PCP referred me to him and I I appreciate that he did. His assessments are complete and he has excellent follow up, Dr. Hammerman also has a gentle, kind bedside manner.

Recommended by my Primary Physician to do my colonoscopy.  All I can say is I dont remember the test, which is good.  He was there before and after the procedure, with a very good bedside manner.  Got a report very promptly.  If you need this test, he did a great job for me.

This Dr is great. He is very knowlagable and didnt make me keep coming back in for no ridiculous reasons. Both persriptions he gave me were immediate successes and it didnt require me to take time off for ridiculous extra testing. If you want your problem fixed quick and accurately without taking too much time he is your man.

In this day and age of specialists it is more than refreshing to know that there still are generalists out there that have the expertise and the skills such as Dr. Hammerman. Word of mouth was what brought me to him; he was the only doc to have found a tiny lump on my friends throat after many other specialists had tried but it has been his diligence, vast knowledge, common sense and command of medicine that has kept me going back for over 25 years. Yes, his office is always a bureaucratic bustle but hes always managed to fit me in when I need it and Ill take his expertise any day over plush digs and servile staff.
