Laura Sciaroni's Online Review Report Card

Called earlier today trying to see if I can schedule for a new patient. However, it seems that the phone number is for some general call center and not to the doctor's office. The phone representative wasn't able to provide me information neither about price nor about appt availability and I would need to wait for a call back for up to business days. After hopping from one service rep to another I was finally able to get connected to her office. The receptionist was able to answer some questions, but could not provide even cost for consultation over the phone.

Very friendly people work for the doctors

I had a *fantastic* experience with Dr. Sciaroni and her team, from my first call to my final appointment: prompt, honest, and extremely efficient.I broke my foot in early August (running injury) and didn't know it was broken until my chiro/sports medicine practitioner suggested I get X-rays. They confirmed I had a break, which I tried to treat with a boot and KT tape (I had an aversion to going to an orthopedic surgeon), but my second round of X-rays came back and it didn't seem to be healing....so, you can imagine my fear when I called and went in to see Dr. Sciaroni for my first visit. I was thinking the worst: surgery, cast, you name it. Dr. Sciaroni looked at my foot and X-rays - and my fears were unfounded. She clearly and expertly explained that my fracture was healing, showing me early bone growth on my X-rays, and advised that I continue taking it easy and come back for 2-3 more X-rays to check on my progress.This continued at my follow-up appointments: I was in and out in under 20 mins, which is how doctor's appointments *should* be. She took X-rays, reviewed and explained them, and provided actionable steps to continue my progress, no time wasted and no fear tactics.I left each appointment feeling heard and motivated - and, while I hope I don't need her again, if I ever hurt myself again, I'm  Team Sciaroni.

Kind and friendly office.  Staff is good and Dr. Sciaroni is very professional and kind.  She is genuinely concerned about my work related injury and is trying to ensure that I am getting better or get the care I need.  I am grateful for her kindness and professionalism.

Are you saying what I have stated in the review is not true? It happened as is and I don't write reviews to ruins people's business. If u would come forward and be a little kinder and helpful, I wouldn't feel so lost. My elbow and back still hurts but I am "afraid" to return to see you just because I want to get "treated" like a patience and not like a product. I met you a few times and there was never once you are open for me to talk to. The nicest time I see was u were place the injection. Sigh. Am I asking for too much? I don't even know when I walked into Dr's office, I described where I hurt and ended up only my elbow and shoulder was in your book. Did u tell me that was all? Throughout the entire process, I was pointed to where I am going to, but I don't even know how the whole entire process works. Ok. Now sounds like it is my fault for not asking. This is my FIRST TIME and I am REALLY HURT and going through the pain!!! I have no idea what I should do and that's what I thought a DOCTOR should disclosed to a patient FULLY, isn't it? Not just come in and yea, this is suggested, take a shot, and goodbye. It is ok if u don't recall who each patient is and I do t expect you to remember each of us. But we are human! Not products! We have feelings! And it seems like you don't. Maybe that's just the way u are! Hope u are happy because now I don't even know who I should go to and to trust.

As I read the review and the ones with Dr's reply... surely wish I was not sent to her to give me the PRP Shots... I agreed that she is cold and not caring... and most of the staffs is cold also. I had a PRP shot in July last year... guess what.... I fainted and passed out on the floor, banged my head and back  on the carpeted hallway after the shot while trying to walk out back to the front desk from one of the room.  I was leaning against the wall feeling weird before I passed out, I saw two staffs standing there... about 10 ft away... watching me leaning against the wall... for sometime.... because I couldn't make an extra steps feeling super light headed but still chit chatting while staring at me...  then I glide down agaInst the wall... and fell and passed out... I woke up with many staffs surrounded me... included the Dr Johnson who sent  me to Dr S... he asked me if I was driving and of course I did coz no one told me something like this wouLd happen and I was supposed to bring a driver. Anyway, a staff then put me in a room to rest before my next attempt to leave. A few days ago, I had to return to see her again, because other then the right elbow had a shot, other places starting to have soreness and pain, she told me that she is only responsible for my right elbow anD shoulders. My situation is I changed to a new job. My new job's work station is slowly but took 4 months and a still not had completed with properly setup yet. Dr S told me I need to file a new claim. I walked out of her office, I nearly cried. I first went to Dr Johnson and had already described my boTh arms, shoulders, upper back and lower back with hip bones  pain. However, Dr S said they were only treAting the right elbow and shoulders. This is the first time ever in my life for claiming work comps... and were terrified coz there was once I was not aBle to even lift even my daily handBag nor have thE strength to lift aNy daily regular items. Sigh... Anyway... I asked her this time that my right lEg was very painful sometimes when I get out of the office chair... and the Pain will strike for a few seconds.. but it was quite painful coz my whole body will react to I it... u know I mean...  my face expression would be Like eaTing something really sour. I asked if she knew why it happened and her answer is short and ended with "I don't know".  And she didn't ask further questions. Basically, just want u all to be alert that if this is your  first time, do remind your doctor  to write down all the spots  that are hurting, mentioned all thE full details of pain and soreness... be specific... or else... you would end up like me... I still have no clue why only my right Arm  was treated when I reported a so many spots are hurting. I would like a copy of my report and see what was written down. Now one word left for me "SAD".... So sad to see Dr losing their passion but totally just after the $$$. I don't want to see her again. Her cold cold face is colder than the ice in North Pole... please don't reply to cover your butt... it is what it is... if a  patient walked out of your door and writing how they feel and it was a bad experience, they don't want your reply to explain to others. We just want u to realize and mAke improvements. Did u study and became a doctor  for money? Hmmm... Probably...

Worker's Comp. claim and she did a wonderful job for them. Claim is denied and now I have to "fight it" ... Old claim was for neck and R shoulder and new claim with her was L shoulder, she literally told me to go to Physical Therapy and said "whatever they do for the right do for the left" really? I had surgery already on the right shoulder and presented no symptoms, it was neck and L shoulder and she kept incorporating her chart notes for the L shoulder claim all together whit the other claim when she knew it was all separate and it had to be done that way. Saw her at her satellite office in Daly City because is 7 minutes away from home, it's an old building, it smells when you walk in the office, it's cold and everything in there is so old and dusty you're afraid to set your belongings anywhere. Her visits if they lasted 15 minutes was too long, waste of time and energy. Not necessarily looking to have surgery but I felt so like a just a "claim" to her and her staff is the same. No eye contact, they didn't have a release of medical records to sign on site and I finally got one days later, I never got the records and when I left my FMLA paperwork to be signed, it was not scanned into my chart and so there was no record of her signing it and what's worse, her office Manager for her San Francisco office had the audacity to lie and say that the doctor in fact did sign it and that she had mail it but that it got lost in the mail so, the other front desk person helped me and I had to start over with that process and get the doctor to sign it and when she did she signed it for 3 weeks, as if I'm going to be "cured" in 3 weeks when I have been dealing with this injury for years. I'm transferring care now to another Provider and since I've signed the release form already asked to have my records faxed ( I work in a big Hospital Institution so I know about HIPPA Standards) and I was told they don't fax records so I have to wait to get them and hopefully they don't get lost in the mail AGAIN. I am dying to see her response to this review, by reading others, she has a smart answer to the bad reviews.

She diagnosed and fixed an interior torn miniscus on me (a 50+ year old female) and with her skills & a good physical therapist, I was back on the courts playing tennis in 9 weeks.

I Went in thinking I had a broken thumb.Dr. Scarioni eventually did an X-ray that revealed nothing was broken . Meanwhile from the X-ray I saw a dot that I supposed was odd , Dr. Scarioni Said nothing even though I asked . I Was just given pain killers and told that it was probably a sprain . Now 1 week after I went to see a hand specialist had surgery for a thumb infection that Dr. scarioni did not notice and told me to not worry about . I could have lost my thumb but the send you a bill after misdiagnosis . Save yourself the trouble go somewhere else . She’s just here to grab your money and send you a bill. I’m editing this review because you never explained anything about the thumb - you literally just looked at it. Plus it was my first time in your office after the misdiagnosis why on earth would I come back. Use the horse analogy for someone else it applies to.

Dr. Sciaroni is the best for knee replacements. I and my husband had our knees done and the whole process was amazing!! Little scaring because of her technique. Recommend her and her support staff highly!!
