We had terrible experience with Dr. Baskin. We found him to be unprofessional and he did not follow basic hygiene. He performed a procedure on my infant which he did not do correctly. I regret taking my child to him. We ended up having to see another pediatric urologist to correct Dr. Baskin’s work.

Dr. Baskin and his staff are excellent. We were seen immediately for our appointment. The UCSF facilities are so clean and modern. We could not ask for better care for our child.

Dr Baskin is an amazing Dr. My son had so many complications and Dr Baskin did not give up until he found a surgery to fix him. We trust him and would recommend him to others.

We went in for a 2:30 appointment and were seen immediately. Dr. Baskin was very friendly, professional, and respectful. After walking in, unlike other comments, he washed his hands and took the time to explain our issue and answer all our questions. He is amazing!

Dr. Baskin did surgery on my six month old son. At our follow-up 13 years later, everything is still great. Here is the deal: Baskin knows his stuff. He came very, very highly recommended 13 years ago and is still considered the best in SF for ped urology.

Dr. Laurence Baskin was supposed to do a surgery on my 6 months old son. We went for a first checkup before the surgery and changed our mind to do the surgery with Dr. Baskin right away. Dr. Baskin had very long dirty nails. When he went into the room, he touched the door handle then he started checking my son without even washing or disinfecting his hands. Can you trust the doctor who doesn't follow the first rule of hygiene: WASH AND DISINFECT your hands before touching the client? We don't.

Had a wonderful experience with dr baskin today. So much that I rarely write Yelp reviews but had such a wonderful experience. We went to dr baskin after I had a less than positive experience with Stanford pediatric urology. After being delivered a diagnosis for our son's condition we were left with so many questions. The follow up from the doc was non-existing, not returning my emails so I started researching to find a new doc by scouring the Internet to find out who the experts were in treating this condition. I also reached out to friends that worked in urology and nephrology and they all recommended this guy. Some of the patient reviews I read online from various sites were just "ok" however we chose him for his expertise, not for his timeliness or whatever else people had written about. Dr baskin was amazing. He was so thorough. I didn't realize how much lacking my past urology experience was until I came to see him today. My husband and I won't very confident in this physician and thus confident our son would be ok. For us it's a long drive with a young infant and it will continue to be a long drive from mid-peninsula to ucsf mission bay but it was so worth out. By the way everything was exactly on time, the staff knew what they were doing. They even asked us how we learned best- by reading, listening, etc and when we said reading the doc provided us reading material to take home. Overall I'm very thankful for how well everything went.

Dr. Baskin is an excellent urologist. He is very compassionate and explains everything.

Had to wait two hours in exam room with newborn baby. Drove over an hour to him. He spent five minutes with us and everything could have been done over the phone.
