List of Leslie Squires's Reviews
I called to try and make an appointment and Dr. Squires could not have been more rude. He snapped at me on the phone and then hung up.
I was told I can not make an appointment until he calls me. Is this a normal procedure? He is my PCP on my insurance plan.
He's a great Doctor!
I thought Doctor Squires was great. I was able to see him right away, which is a miracle these days. He was a good listener and made me feel like he genuinely wanted to help. I have some short term issues as i get over a flu but I think hes a good option for long term care.
Dr. Squires was my mothers doctor in the last few years of her life. She needed a lot of attention for small things and, after dealing with too many doctors who thought little of older people (she was in her nineties) he was a godsend. He has a somber manner which, at first, took getting used to but I found his kindness to my mother and willingness to fit her into his schedule to be above and beyond what most doctors are able to do.
I have been seeing Dr. Squires for the past 18 years, and since I have a # of chronic illnesses, I see him every 3 months. He has never been anything but kind and thorough, and listens to my input. He sees me as a partner in my health care, and he gives me the time that I need. I read a lot about my conditions, and he is quite willing to dialogue with me about any new research, and what are the best next steps, and when should I see specialists.Im in the older generation that does not make reviews on Yelp much, but I was checking his phone number and saw these bad reviews, which I did not understand, and wanted to add my own experience.
leslie squires is rude and condescending. I was looking for a new doctor. Horrible experience. My ailments were beneath him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Squires since 2002 when he came highly recommended by a friend. He also took care of an ill husband and believe me if you ever have to come by ambulance Dr. Squires proves himself under fire. This is the man you want at your bedside if your life needs saving. An excellent thorough MD
DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!! Rude Rude Rude needs to retire and it is very sad. It is not fun to have to write such a negative honest review. Used incredibly bad language when he got angry on the phone over his mistake. Actually told me my insurance was basically bad. I have Health Net w/ Brown and Tolland. A procedure I needed (to end severe back pain) would have cost a 1,000.00 deductible through standard HMO channels due to an ambulatory care needed facility. Thats a lot of $ right now for me and I had a lot of pain. I had to work around the HMO requirements finally finding a provider who does it in office for 40.00 copay! This wonderful office was very open to work with him on an ongoing basis to handle my care. Apparently this was too big of a hassle for the Dr to deal with! DOES THIS DR EVEN REALIZE HAVING HEALTH INSURANCE ALONE IS DIFFICULT THESE DAYS LET ALONE WHO HAS THE LUXURY OF CHOOSING MAIN PROVIDERS SUPPLIED BY JOBS? OR AFFORDABILITY? NOT A CLUE. For the procedure I found one of the best National clinics with UCSF. Incredible. Mr Squires just didnt get it was a teaching clinic. Their policy is to have the Primary Care Dr fill all required prescriptions after they advise. One person keeps track of everything the Primary Care Physician...again this was too big of a hassle or concept to grasp for this Dr? UCSF called and faxed him a simple prescription none narcotic and he refused to fill it. Said he didnt receive it although I was told it was put on his desk before he lied to me. The UCSF Dr verified his office received the fax! LIED to me. When I called him on it he said, he needed to see me in person like he was above the experts much more highly qualified...UCSF even told me to drop him. Rude rude rude. I feel badly for him. You can tell he struggles and already is starting to get a karmic payback in life....wouldnt wish that on anyone it is a shame. The woman who handles the front office is wonderful, kind and pleasant. Just a gem which makes it very confusing once you meet the Doctors negative personality. Your health is way too important and when your sick it is difficult enough without having to deal with all the problems that come with this physician. GO SEE A PROFESSIONAL WHO IS CARING DOCTOR.
Seems like an ongoing trend here. Dr. Squires is extremely rude and lacks just a sliver of compassion. His office assistant Willy is very nice and understanding but he cant even make up for Dr. Squires. Take your business elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
