I have been receiving acupuncture from them since October of last year. I have never had a bad experience with any of the acupuncturists. They are all amazing! I struggle with chronic pain and have suffered quite a few of knee injuries as an ex athlete and current dancer. I am also a full time student so the amount of alleviation and relaxation I get from the acupuncture makes a huge difference. Receiving acupuncture from these talented, proficient, and caring professionals has positively impacted my life so much. I recommend both Charity and Kara!

Seeing Dr. Kara Romanko has been a life-changing experience. I work in a high-stress job and our weekly sessions have been the greatest relief. Not only has she supported me in my pain needs, she's also helped me regulate my menstrual cycle. This is the first time I can say my cycles occur at regular intervals and my experience of symptoms is significantly reduced. Kara helped me address a few body pains that I was experiencing. I had a lot of issues with the left side of my body due to a previously torn left achilles. Going through surgery and rehab, the left side of my body had some issues in terms of flexibility and certain muscles over-compensating. After 1-2 sessions with Kara, I had gained the most ankle flexility since pre-surgery. After about 3-4 sessions, my knee pain started to dissipate. I would highly recommend her!

I've had chronic asthma and at times severe asthma throughout my entire life. I'm an otherwise healthy 28yr old man. Asthma feels like breathing through a straw at all times and someone pinching the end of the straw right before you are able to get a full breath. It's awful. For a few years before visiting Kara it was interfering with almost every aspect of my life. I frequently couldn't fall asleep, and I would awake throughout the night unable to breath. I began to dread the activities I loved to do such as running and lifting weights because it was so difficult. Even at my day job as a software engineer I was constantly struggling to breathe while sitting down. I felt very embarrassed about my breathing and sometimes I would hold my breath so that others wouldn't be bothered by it or think that I was weird. I visited many doctors and specialists. When one type of inhaler did not work, they switched me to another. Each year I was increasing the dosage until a doctor told me that the dosage I was on was not sustainable, and dangerous to be on for more than a 6-month "recovery" period. The inhalers worked but never 100%, and over time they became less effective. I reasoned that if it continued I probably didn't have more than 10yrs to live, and this made me really sad thinking about my family. Since visiting Kara for treatment at the end of 2018 my life has changed in many ways. For the first time in over a decade I can breath like a normal person again. I no longer use a daily steroid inhaler (only occasionally a rescue inhaler). I go run on the track near my apartment and it makes me so happy. I'm so thankful that I found this treatment and Kara while randomly searching on Yelp one day. Kara has shown her dedication to helping me since the very first consultation session. She is a very kind-hearted person who truly cares about her patients.

I've been going to Dr. Romanko for about 4 months now. The original reason I saw her was for chronic arthritis due to autoimmune disease (the flare has since gone away virtually completely). Kara is kind, personable, quick to respond, and gentle. Her work with needles is an art and you rarely feel a thing. Plus, it's a relaxing time to decompress and rest for a half hour or so. Over the course of our work I found out I was pregnant and have continued to go to her. I trust her and wonder if the acupuncture aided in my fertility :) She always listens and treats your symptoms accordingly. Thanks Dr. Romanko!

Kara Romanko is a gifted and thoughtful acupuncturist and healer. She has helped me and my daughter tremendously, and can utilize her many skills using traditional Chinese Herbs, acupressure, acupuncture and therapeutic massage to help a wide variety of ailments.
