I went to Valerie for my plantar faciitis (a foot problem). I'm an avid runner so I went in with very inflamed foot tissue. Valerie was great because: 1) She's very THOROUGH. In my first consultation visit, she made me fill out three forms to fully understand my body and my health history. 2) PROFESSIONAL. She knew what to do right away when she saw my foot. She placed the needles very quickly and it didn't really hurt. 3) She really CARES. She gave me advice on how to holistically take care of my foot such as providing me with chinese herbal supplements, salt soaks, diet advice. Everytime I go back to visit, she asks about my progress, how much it still hurts etc. 4) She's EFFECTIVE. My foot hurt way less after just two appointments. I have no doubt if I follow Valerie's advice, my foot will be recovered 100% in no time! Above all, her office is very clean and relaxing. I always fall asleep in my appointments. She lets me lay on the treatment bed with warm lighting. It's so comfortable! Finally, the pricing is reasonable for the standards in this city. I highly recommend Valerie.

This is my first experience with Valerie. Not only did she kindly fit me in as a new patient, her work is amazing. After weeks from suffering after many months post trauma from a bad accident - with one session Valerie had me feeling so much better. Also, it was obvious to me this is someone very gifted who works in medicine because she truly cares about helping people. I found her to be very direct and no nonsense. Her work speaks for itself.

I need to update my review from 2008. I had some serious health issues from 2009 to 2012. I was unable to see Valarie for much of the time. I have recently restarted my treatments with Valarie.

Are these all friends and family leaving reviews? From the moment she walked up to the office (it was locked) the energy was cold and harsh. Once inside, she asked me why I was 'so anxious about getting in, what's the deal with that' which caught me so off guard. I had emailed her briefly to ask for an appointment as soon as possible - because I've been in pain for months. Nothing anxious, and the way she spoke to me was rude and cold. This is a healer! Quite the opposite from other experiences... I went through with it, I was already there. She seemed incredibly annoyed that I couldn't remember exactly what I did to pinch the nerves in my neck/upper back. So unreal, the tone and lack of thoroughness she had with me. Afterwards, she told me to 'stop doing upper body work', all we need is our core. So unrealistic and I felt like she was judging me the entire time. Bedside manor was non-existent. Needless to say, I did NOT go back. Horrible!!! I kept waiting for Ashton Kutcher to walk in.

Awesomely talented acupuncturist Valerie Lee. Highly recommended

I have been seeing Valerie at LIfeCare Acupuncture Clinic since 2016 for back issues. Valerie takes time to listen, review and discuss you general health and diet to work out a plan of action for improved health. In late February 2017 I suffered a herniated disc and couldn't stand up without excruciating pain. I called Valerie and asked if she makes house calls and she does for emergency's and she was able to see me that afternoon. Several hours after my acupuncture treatment my pain had greatly lessen where I could walk for a short distance in my home. I have been having acupuncture treatments several times a week since then and I am walking without a cane now and with more mobility and less pain. Grateful for acupuncture skills.

I went to Valerie to try to help induce labor, while 3 days overdue. Having never done acupuncture before, Valerie made me feel very comfortable and explained everything nicely while giving me a great and comfortable session. She also discussed food a little and gave me some red dates. Who knows how the complex body works, but I delivered 2 days later!! Thanks Valerie. Great bedside manner and friendly care, I would definitely recommend.

I've been going to Valerie for over 25 years, for a variety of different ailments. She's reduced pain, restore muscle tone in my knee after a sports injury, helped me stave off a bad cold when I couldn't afford to get sick, raised my immune system when a other colds just wouldn't go away, and most recently helped me overcome residual effects from a major back spasm. I always leave relaxed, stress-free and grateful for the care and guidance I've received.

I tried acupuncture after I injured a leg muscle and when a family member suggested it might help. I've been amazed and surprised at how much better I feel after meeting with Valerie. I've also been going through another really stressful experience and she's really helped me see a stronger connection between the mind and body to heal both. She is kind, intelligent and speaks good sense. I highly recommend her services.

Valerie is a MIRACLE worker!!! I had a severe case of tendinitis in my elbow and couldn't lift anything over a few pounds without extreme pain. Went to a sports medicine doctor who gave me cortisone shots- no improvement. Did physical therapy- no improvement. Tried Feldenkrais- no improvement. Was waking up 6 times a night because of the pain. By the third or fourth acupuncture treatment with Valerie there was a major improvement. I am now pretty much fully recovered and pain free thanks to Valerie. She is also a really interesting and warm person. I highly recommend her!
