Lucia Tuffanelli is an amazing dermatologist- she's quick, highly intelligent and goes right to the point and resolves it. I know of no better dermatologist.

If you are looking for an REAL dermatologist look no further. If you are tired of being up-sold by dermatologists, this is your office,After three years of being misdiagnosed and wrongly prescribed treatments, thank God I came to Dr T. Within 24 hours of her regimen I felt like a new person.She takes a DETAILED health history and eval of your meds and analyzes the information.Don't expect fluffy hand-holding. Dr T is a straight shooter and I love it!

As a healthcare worker I found the staff professional, considerate and polite. Dr Tuffanelli was excellent. Very thoughtful and supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Front desk was friendly and prompt, wait time was <5 minutes, and Dr. Tuffanelli has a great bedside manner. I had a consultation and booked a follow up procedure within the same week; it was quick and painless, and the doctor explained the entire process along the way. I am happy with my visits and would highly recommend.

Excellent.  My first visit with Dr. Lucia Tuffanelli.  She was on time, professional, cordial and most importantly very confident and candid in her diagnosis. The doc provided a thorough explanation in laymen terms of my skin condition and the reasons for the necessary treatments.  She welcomingly answered my questions and I felt she was reasonably interested in me personally without becoming overly chatty or fake.  I was a bit reluctant to schedule an appointment with Dr. Tuffanelli after reading some of the less flattering reviews before me, but my recommendation post visit is very positive.  She didn't get under my skin in the least, sorry for the pun.

Direct and helpful. I could see how some people could interpret her directness as not friendliness but she was truly helpful even gave me samples and discount on prescription. So for me nice is what you get and not what appears. She wasn't one of those dermatologist offices trying to sell fake beauty but helpful, practical and matter of fact. Great.

Dr. Tuffanelli is one the best dermatologists in SF. Yes, sometimes I wait for 10-20 minutes but I get it - she’s busy because she’s good. I’ve seen at least half a dozen dermatologists in SF and she’s the best. I really don’t mind the wait as long as someone can solve my skin issues.

I have been with Dr. Tuffanelli for years. I met her initially when she worked side-by-side with her amazing father.  She has addressed all my dermatology needs quickly and with effective results.  She is VERY special to me, as she has gone above and beyond her role on every visit.  When I was between GP's (mine retired), she ordered bloodwork to make sure all was in good order for my ongoing chronic condition.  She has also helped with other challenges that fall beyond outside of her specialty.  Most recently, I have been suffering from a condition for over 2 years that is not related to dermatology,  I saw seven different specialists and they all responded with some version of "I don't know what to tell you," expect for Dr. Tuffanelli, who suggested that I switch a generic medication, to the name brand instead.  Guess what?  Within a week of following her advice, my condition and previous suffering is reduced by 85%. I am grateful beyond words. If you are looking for a great doctor, then you have come to the right place. Grazie Mille Dr. Tuffanelli.  You are one of kind. I have also found her staff to be beyond helpful...but I believe you get back what you give. Karen J.

I have been seeing the Tuffanellies for 40 years starting withe her father. While the office seems hecd overwhelmed they are very busy. It has improved a lot. I believe they are busy because they are the best. There are long wait times sometimes but I think that is because they never rush through a visit. They are very thorough checking not only on the specific problem but investing whether it could be caused by oter bigger health problems. Once I remember having a second Dr called in to consult then being referred to the head of dermatology at UCSF. I don't think there are any better dermatologists.
