If you care about having the clearest skin you've ever had, please look no further, and go see Alisha. If she's booked out, it's worth waiting. It brings me *so much joy to write that she truly deserves all the praise and trust that other reviewers speak of! I personally have very temperamental, acne-and-scar prone sensitive skin, and entrusting my skincare needs to Alisha has been an absolute blessing. A couple of things I really appreciate about her: Her attentiveness and thoroughness with extractions is unparalleled. I went through a process of trying out more than a dozen aestheticians in SF, and too many over-rely on machines, potions and peels with questionable results. Alisha understands the balance between them all, and what little details require her own effort. There's real skill in decongesting skin without causing further breakouts, and she has honed this delicacy! Very high bar for efficacy and results. I'll sometimes feel skeptical about recommended products or procedures by other people - but honestly, anything Alisha recommends always works for me. I recently had a very difficult series of painful cysts and whiteheads from dietary and stress changes. It was awful - my chin hurt, my makeup wouldn't sit well, my skin was breaking out left and right. One session with her, and the thoughtful aftercare recommendations had me back to smooth, non-irritated skin within days. Please don't hesitate to see her!

Alisha is amazing!! I've had two facials with her so far and my skin has improved significantly. Previously I was dealing with a lot of clogged pores, dead skin buildup, and blackheads. Alisha takes her time and performs a very thorough treatment that includes cleansing, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and a chemical peel. She also does extractions and is extremely meticulous. I also love that she includes eyebrow shaping, nose/ear hair waxing, and lash tinting--you get so much bang for your buck! She's also just a lovely human being, very friendly, and easy to talk to. She's given me some great product recs as well! Will continue seeing her as long as I'm living in SF.

Medical Skin Aesthetics is just the best. This is really elevated skincare. Alisha provides highly customized facials, chemical peels and products not available anywhere else (though she never pushes you to buy stuff). I love coming here — it is truly a spa experience. Alisha Valverde has transformed my skin. For over 17 months, she has consistently recommended and given me incredible chemical peel facials. From our first session, she's made my skin beautiful and wisely directed me to products that have worked miracles. She's thoughtful, and I know she cares deeply about the science of skin. I like that everything is included in her treatments and not charged separately. The value is terrific. The boutique on the top floor is very clean. Ask her to show you, Brooks, before and after photos, results are eye opening. My skin has never been better. The dermaplaning is a must.

I’ve been seeing Alisha for over 5 years, and I can’t recommend her enough! I travel all the way from Walnut Creek to San Francisco just for her facial services—she’s truly that good. Alisha’s attention to detail and personalized care always leaves me feeling refreshed and glowing. I love that she includes dermaplaning in her facials, as it makes such a difference in the smoothness and brightness of my skin. Plus, she’s great with brow care, which is a huge bonus for me! This review is long overdue. I have been seeing Alisha twice now and wanted to wait for this review to see how my skin is doing to give my honest review. I personally don't have huge skin issues but I had constantly small pimples / bumps on the left side of my cheeks, almost like Acne scars. My previous dermatologist couldn't get rid of it but somehow Alisha has been able to get rid of these annoying little bumps. I'm really happy with my skin so far and will continue my facials every three months.

I love going to Alisha! I've been seeing her for years and every visit is a delightful experience. She is incredibly knowledgable about skincare and taught me helpful tips along the way. She is meticulous during extractions at every facial and attentive to the overall progression of my skin's health - which is better than ever! I also like that she is never pushy about selling me products that she recommends (which are great but budgetary reasons I don't always partake) and is happy to look at ingredients in products I'm currently using too. The facilities are always clean and sanitary and the bed she provides her clients to lay on is soooo comfortable too. Alisha is always kind, friendly and fun to chat. I highly recommend going to see her!

Flew in from LA for my monthly treatment with the one and only Alisha. 3.5 hours of transit time + 1.5 hour flight delay but finally here and would do it all over again because she is so worth it! Needed to come back and update my review because Alisha is simply the best in the industry. She truly only operates in the top tier level of quality and always remains ahead of her time. She recommended SkinBetter years ago (before anyone really knew of it) and has taken a whole beauty approach far before it was trending (for years now, her treatments have involved eyebrow shaping, eyebrow tinting, nose hair waxing, removing blackheads from ears, and anything else she sees that needs taking care of). Honestly, I wish she'd become an Instagram influencer! From skincare to hair products to restaurants to clothing brands to anything under the sun really, Alisha has had the best recommendations because -- again - Alisha only partakes in the highest of quality. While Alisha is outrageously talented, she is also one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. She is a rare combination of a human being as someone of her caliber would typically not possess the massive levels of humility, kindness and purity of Alisha. My conversations with her truly heal the soul and I always leave feeling inspired to be a better human. I count my blessings every morning and Alisha is always in them. Like so many of us, I am marred with insecurities but for the first time in my entire life, I actually felt beautiful and I owe it hugely in part to Alisha. I am wildly lucky to have found her

Alisha is a miracle worker! I have been trusting Alisha with my skin since 2013, and the results have been incredible. 10 years later and I still drive into the city to see her and will never stray! Her knowledge of skincare amazing, and she always tailors each treatment to address my specific needs. She has helped me through preparing my skin for my wedding, bouts of hormonal acne, post-pregnancy pigmentation, you name it. Alisha always brings my skin back to being clear, healthy, and glowing. Not only is she incredibly professional, but she is a lovely person who I love spending an hour with. I also feel like I need to mention that Alisha only recommends products that truly work. She is an expert in medical-grade skincare, so you can be sure you're investing in effective products that do what they are supposed to do. Over the last 10 years I have never felt like I was being upsold to buy something I didn't need. If anything she tells me to finish what I have before buying more...that is so rare in this industry!
