Melissa Wong's Online Review Report Card

This doctor office is simple and clean at the second floor, no elevator. Staff is nice and friendly. Dr. Melissa Wong is very attentive, calm and skillful. I am glad that she is my primary physician. Also, they are very organized.

My family doctor retired two years ago and I was looking for a new doctor close to my home. I am so glad that I found Dr. Melissa Wong as my primary physician. I seldom need to see the doctor but during my physical check-ups with Dr. Wong, she always went though my lab results and explained to me thoroughly. She is very professional, courteous and caring in taking care of my health. I have not been sick since the start of Covid-19 but most recently I had some flu like symptoms so I was concerned. I called Dr. Wong's office to try to book an appointment in the afternoon. Dr. Wong called me back shortly and discussed about my symptoms. It was late in the afternoon but Dr. Wong managed to book a Covid-19 test appointment for me at a clinic close to my home. The test result turned out to be negative. Thank you Dr. Wong for addressing my health concern quickly so I had a peace of mind.

Things have gotten much better over the years I have used Dr Wong. I would also recommend her to others seeking medical care.

I love having Dr. Wong as my primary care doctor. She is incredibly caring, empathetic, and I feel like she values me as a patient and human. She takes time to talk to me, ask questions, and listens. I can tell she thinks carefully about her recommendations and I just feel like I am in really good hands. I am so grateful. Her staff is always friendly. I never want to leave her practice and dont know what Im going to do if I ever move - I love Dr. Wong's practice!

Amazing primary care doctor. When I came to her in tears over some health issues, she spent 30-40 minutes going over with me a holistic history of what runs in my family, what my lifestyle looks like now, and some options that we can take action on. I don't know the last time a doctor has spent that much time with me. Better yet, my health issues got figured out. Thank you!

My GP for about a year. Accepts new patients and Medicare. Listens and explains well. Billing is simple

This is for the Noriega location. Dr Wong is competent and listens but seems rushed and it shows. As others have commented her bedside manner could be improved but this may due to her being busy. The facilities are less than ideal and need a facelift (for comparison, the pharmacy literally next door appears to be in better shape). The solution may be to move locations - the stairs are especially difficult for older people. And the solution should not be to dismissively state, "go to the Irving" location which can be difficult to get to and find parking at: for example was there previously and arrived very early but parking took 20+ min to find which made me 10 minutes late to my appointment. Additionally, the administrative staff here is not-personable, curt, and could be perceived, by some, as rude and not knowledgeable - the aforementioned statement was made by the administrative staff.

What sets this office apart is her team. They are responsive, kind, and professional.

Still with Melissa Wong as my insurance uses her as their primary go to person, she is getting a little better with time, but still needs some bed side manner work. I try to only use the Irving St location, better facilities and nice staff.

I was referred to Dr. Melissa Wong whom my friend highly recommended. This review is strictly for the front desk. I called the office to schedule. The initial assessment by the receptionist was to ask if I was a returning patient or new patient. Told her I'm a new patient. 2nd question she asked if I have hmo or ppo insurance. Told her I have ppo and name of the insurance. Then she tells me "I'm sorry but Dr. Wong no longer taking new patients." Ok so what was the purpose of getting the info from me if the office is not accepting new patients. This already reveal to me how I will be cared and treated.
