Will not return. She ordered a CT scan, never contacted me with results, did not return calls asking for results. Finally I had to ask her (rude) assistant to fax them to me and had to have a surgeon friend interpret them.
Really bad doctor. she left me waiting for 2 and a half hours for an online appointment. She told me I was fine - I have an hernia from my pregnancy - oh we won't fix it if you want to get pregnant again. It hurts so bad I can't carry my baby and now I don't ever want to get pregnant again. She gave no tips on breathing or exercises or anything I can do to ease the pain or any options other than if I have more babies or not....ridiculous. so I guess I pick have to pick to fix my broken gut with a hole in or having more children? PATHETIC! No warmth, no discussion, just a you're fine move on and here's a bill for 500 bucks for my lack of assistance. ugh, disgusted
The WORST! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! This was the most ridiculous experience I've had in our country's pathetic healthcare system. This doctor left me, a working at home parent, waiting online for our scheduled "appointment" for TWO and a HALF hours! then offered me nothing helpful AT ALL, nothing the appointment which I waited forever for was completely worthless. she's an asshole
When someone is doing a job they love, it shows! I would agree she's a goddess, she deals with a bunch of aholes all day and isn't condescending or jaded.
1.) Misdiagnosed me as having both external/internal hemorrhoids. Inserted a device into my anus to administer a medication which probably tore my fissure even more as she twisted it around in there several times resulting in me almost not making it home due to the bleeding and pain. A month or so down the line, it took a second surgeon 2 seconds to see that I have an Anal Fissure (tear in the anal Canal) not hemorrhoids and nothing had to be inserted. Wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Li made it worse. Dr. McCoy with Sutter health made the same misdiagnosis. Too busy looking deep within, don't bother checking the outside first.2.) Prescribed medication that neither her or her nurse gave me any info on. Just threw a baggie with some tubes in there and rushed me out (nurse did). Dr. Li didn't even bother coming back after she let me get dressed, and did not check to see if I had any other questions before she left ( I had several). The medication were samples and had absolutely no instructions on there, one of the creams gave me a terrible rash after a day of using it.3.) Terrible bedside manner. I felt dismissed, unheard, and as if I was wasting her time. She couldn't wait to get me out of her office as her only solution was "surgery."4.) Recommended that I only come back for a HEMORRHOIDECTOMY which I absolutely did not need. Mentioned my skin tag ( actually a sentinel pile from fissure) could "maybe disappear" after I heal the internal hemorrhoids. Maybe disappear is not something you want to hear from a doctor.Surgeon #2 told me young, inexperienced doctors often miss anal fissures. This is scary because Dr. LI is a person who could potentially operate on you and if she can't diagnose a problem that is fairly common, who knows what else will be missed. Would not let this doctor go anywhere near my body and would advise others to do the same. I am now stuck with a Chronic fissure that isn't responding to the proper treatments because I spent months trying to heal something that didn't need healing rather than addressing the real issue.
Dr. Li diagnosed me with internal & external hemorrhoids. Said surgery was the only solution and did not recommend before having kids. I decided to get a second opinion, and the other dr. confirmed I actually had a fissure. Dr. Li failed to catch this even with a “full examination” while it took my second dr. less than a minute to tell me I have a fissure, which can be seen right away and lines up more with my symptoms. In the time that I spent treating the hemorrhoids with the cream I was perscribed, the real issue was not only not being treated but I was told hemorrhoid creams have a tendency to make fissures WORSE. She also inserted some sort of device that she twisted around internally to administer a topical cream, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that harmed me even more. Always be sure to get a second opinion. I almost went in for a surgery I did not need.
I had a couple of visits with Dr. Li and she has been nothing but professional, caring, and compassionate . She has a great sense of humor and made me feel comfortable during a consultation and in-office procedure.
I had a simple, but sensitive issue: hemorrhoids. Dr. Li patiently and compassionately answered all my questions. She performed the procedure quickly and competently. The results were perfect. Her front office staff (3838 California office) were polite and efficient. Practically no wait. Her financial staff were stand out: they navigated the insurance issues and precisely estimated what my costs would be. That's almost unheard of!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
