Dr. Nima performed ACL surgery on me (32 year old male) using a quad graft and did an AMAZING job. He helped me decide between patellar, quad, and cadaver...and we definitely made the right choice for me. He's straightforward, honest, and takes great care of you. I'm currently 10 weeks post-surgery and am way ahead of schedule on my recovery, largely in part to Dr. Nima's steady hands. I knew I was in good hands before my surgery when he was discussing his tenure as part of the Laker's staff. 8 week post-surgery, I had a cross country move, and he went above and beyond to take care of me even though I was leaving his coverage area. If you're getting an ACL surgery in SoCal...Dr. Nima is your guy.
I wanted to Thank You for the miracle you have brought to my life. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for you.Thank you for taking such great surgery and care of me. I shattered my tibia plateau and Dr. Mehran gave me my life back. Your kindness, sincere caring, and concern make everything better and are a great encouragement. Thanks for being a great surgeon and a great human being.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! To me, Dr. Mehran is more than a doctor. I knew right away he would be great because his personality was just super welcoming and super encouraging. He truly has a big heart and cares for every single one of his patients. I fully tore my ACL and meniscus playing basketball two months prior to my tryout to play overseas. I was so bummed so i was on the search to find the best doctor! I went through two doctors just to find Dr. Mehran. I told Dr. Mehran right away what my goals are and that I wanted to play basketball again at the professional level. Right away he said that he could easily reconstruct it by using my patellar tendon from my other knee. At first I was kind of scared for my healthy knee to go under the knife but he fully explained that it would be the best tendon to use because it would be the strongest. I trusted him and I am only almost two weeks post op and I feel great. For those of you who are looking for a great doc, Dr. Mehran is the one!
I went to Dr. Mehran for my torn ACL last year. He was very informative and professional, providing me with different options and explaining the pros and cons of each one. He was able to answer all my questions, making the experience comfortable. He ultimately ended up doing my ACL reconstruction surgery using my quad tendon. The road to recovery was long, but expected as he walked me through all the timelines. I have not had any issues with my knee since the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Mehran to anyone who needs orthopedic services. He is highly responsive and provided me with the best possible experience someone can have going under the knife.
Dr. Mehran has my highest recommendation. I was fortunate enough to have this highly trained and skilled sports medicine orthopedic surgeon when I needed to have a hip tendon repair. I had completely torn the gluteus minimus and gluteus medius from the bone and the outcome of the surgery was unknown due to the severity of the tear. Dr. Mehran performed this very complicated surgical repair on 6/25/19. I couldn’t walk without a severe limp and shift in my gait prior to surgery. Six months later, I have returned to all of my athletic activities. I can’t praise him highly enough for this very successful surgery. He is also a very kind and caring human being.
Dr. Mehran replaced the ACL in my knee and now I'm back running, climbing, and snowboarding again!@ He came well recommended by his mentors at Kerlan-Jobe, and was always kind, energetic, and attentive during appointments. He answered all my many questions about process and recovery to put my mind at ease, and then he put my knee back together, good as new!
Dr. Nima (Mehran) is an amazing surgeon. I had a torn rotator cuff and he took one look at the MRI and said: "we need to operate as soon as we can". (Previous Drs. told me to rest my arm). I was in so much pain for over a year I was thrilled to hear that FINALLY, someone could help me. I didn't seek out Dr. Mehran, but now that I know how to check references, I'm doing this for all my doctors! Dr. Mehran is part of Kaiser Sunset and they are fortunate to have him on staff. If you are looking for a surgeon and he is one of your "top 5" choices, make him your first choice. I promise you, he's it.
Dr. Nima Mehran is amazing! He performed ACL surgery on me January 29th. From the get go he was more than helpful and gave me more knowledge then I could imagine. He remembers everything about my procedure and answers any questions I have an offers great advice. He walked me through the whole procedure and made me feel at ease. He is also amazing with following up post-op. I was so nervous before meeting Dr. Mehran and thanks to him on on a fast pace track to a full recovery! Thanks Dr. Mehran!
The minute I met Dr. Mehran I knew I was in good hands. The day I met him he was wearing a Lakers Lanyard so we started talking and I actually found out that he was on the medical staff for the Lakers & Dodgers! He has to be one the kindest and most knowledgable doctors I have ever met in my life. One of my favorite things that drew me to him was the fact that he is young and understood exactly what I needed for someone my age. He did not give me a vague recommendation, but rather he explained t
Dr. Mehran performed a knee reconstruction for me in June 2018. Major surgeries like this are always frightening and filled with anxiety. But he did an awesome job both pre-op and post-op. He was comforting, superbly capable and always made me feel like I was his only patient. I owe him many thanks and gratitude.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals.
