If I could give zero stars I would. Do not go to this doctor. I went to Dr. P for a preventative skin care check up. I confirmed with the receptionist that they accepted my insurance and that the visit would be covered because it was preventative which she assured me it was. Now I get a $200 bill in the mail and the run around from his office manager claiming that the receptionist never said that and that they do not offer preventative care. So now I am expected to pay $200 when all the doc did was quickly check a few freckles and then spend 15 minutes telling me about his upcoming trip to Greece and the olive oil business he runs on the side. Absolutely abhorrent. I wish I would have read all the other negative reviews (of which there are many) before going to this doc. I HIGHLY recommend looking for someone else.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Panagotacos today for a medical dermatology concern. Dr. Panagotacos was thorough, kind, and confident. He did a procedure that was fast and painless. I'm grateful to have found his expert practice.

My 2020, 800 graft procedure with Dr Panagatacos was, in his exact words: "an embarrassment to me and my clinic". It is also an embarrassment to me, the patient. See attached photos for results after 2 years. The photo with blonde hair was my hairline 1 month before the procedure was done. Which would you prefer? With this as his own review, he then offered to do another procedure. The price he offered me for my first procedure was 1000$ for thr Artas machine being used, and 4$ per graft harvested and transplanted. After we both knew they had failed my procedure, he recommended I then schedule a second surgery with him. However he then let me know he had done my first procedure at a discount (i had not requested or known of a discount, and that I'd be paying $8 per graft. That's double the price per graft, to fix a cosmetic surgery which he failed. He told me that "most people need two procedures". I was already well aware that in many cases this is true. However in mine it is not. I was 27,my hairline had barely begun to move back, the area that needed treatment was extremely small in comparison to most transplants. To me, this felt like I was being scammed. This part is why I'm here writing this review. As for the results, I have three major issues: 1) Most of my grafted follicles died. According to him at least half of them did I purchased a 1000$ hair growth helmet and use it as instructed, to this day, 2 years later. I also spent the first year purchasing and using his own formula of minoxidil and finasteride topical. I followed all aftercare instructions 100% of the time. I did not expose my head to bright or direct sunlight, or heat, for an extremely long time. 1 had already been on the hairloss prevention medication he recommended, for years. What I'm saying is, I did what I was told to do, yet my transplanted hair is so thin that you can literally see my thick, original hairline behind it. I have two hairlines. 2) The follicles that did not die, produce the most pubic hair textured. yet weak and brittle/breakable hair I've ever seen (I'm a hair stylist) and I use absolutely top shelf hair products. I'Il mention that as a stylist, who does work on clients who have had transplants, mine is by far the biggest failure l've seen. 3) My "donor area" has significantly larger scars (less hair available for a future transplant, embarrassing as well) than any other fue/fut transplant I've seen. I was FULLY aware that I'd have visible scarring, however it's truly excessive considering the 800 graft count l'll attach photos. This is over 2 years post op.

Worst doctors experience of my life. I would give him a negative review. He was it wearing a mask and asked me to remove my mask. Masked are required in medical setting, he did not care. He was incredibly argumentative. He told me I'm doing something wrong when I haven't changed anything in my routine. I have a history of eczema. He just recommended face wash, gave me samples, poured it out in his hands, and poured it back into the bottle. He recommended a cortisone cream and a cortisone shot. I was so scared I didn't know how to respond. He did not was his hands and still gave me a shot. I never filled my prescription and am going to the location on Hyde St recommended. PLEASE do not see him. He is a terrible doctor, unhygienic, and unsafe.

Dr. panagotacos is very straight forward and his experience is appreciated. Kind man!

Worst experience with a Dr- ever. He appears not to care about his patients - or their health. He wouldn't even inspect suspicious moles. Avoid Dr Panagotacos at all costs!

He didn't give me a proper diagnoses, I suffered from an auto immune disease and he prescribed medication for hair that made things worse. I asked if I should get blood work but he said that was a scam. Go somewhere else PLEASE. You might not have androgenic alopecia but he will always prescribe finasteride which will then actually make your hair fall 100 times worse if your sensitive to androgens.

Went here around 3-4 moths ago, after my doctor wouldn't prescribe finasteride becuase he said I didn't need it and that I was under a lot of stress causing my hairfall from behind my ear. Sure enough this doctor just prescribed me the drugs without even looking at my scalp lol or asking me about my situation other than if i had bald family members. I used the medication for a week and noticed so much hairfall then I just stopped because I felt tenderness in chest. Not the guy you want to go to unless you know what you are doing cause he clearly doesn't.

I don’t understand how this man is a doctor honestly. Please don’t go here. When the doctor got into the room, he didn’t look at me or introduce himself, he literally just said “show me what’s going on” and poked my hairline with his pen. He didn’t look over my chart and started prescribing me medication that he didn’t explain to me, even going as far as to apply something on my head without telling me what it was or getting my consent to do so. I’m very sensitive to a lot of products and my scalp started burning immediately and I got a headache. He didn’t ask me my goals, questions, anything. Just filled out his prescription pad with little information about my health or anything, despite filling out a physical health history form once I got there. The conversation was maybe two minutes and then he swept me to the front counter to ring me up for products that I didn’t agree to or even know about. I had to firmly tell the counter person that I have other consults elsewhere and I’m just seeing my options. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going here after that. After I got home I looked up other reviews of his office and many of them were the same experience as mine. A waste of time.

He was incredibly rude and rushed me out of the room. He did not listen to any of my concerns about my skin, and prescribed me with something that I've already tried. I explained that I've already been prescribed the medication before and it didn't work, but he wouldn't listen.
