Philippe Nguyen's Online Review Report Card

Beware! Their paperwork asks you to sign your life away. Its an informal document created by the clinic itself that specifically states they have the right to charge your card for any amount that insurance doesnt cover. This is a non standard agreement which is illegal anyway but it could leave you hassling over getting charges off of your credit card and puts the burden on you to deal with it.

I usually dont have to spend more than 510 minutes scheduling a doctors appointment, but the front desk person was insufferable. I tried to give her all my information and have a rational conversation with her and then after getting all my personal info she says she needs my credit card. I have never had a doctors office ask for such a thing before rendering a service. She said she needs to put one down in case of no shows and I said I could come in in person to put down a deposit, but I dont have a credit card number for her.She then refuses and says we only serve people that have credit cards. What are you talking about!? Youre a general doctors office! You cant discriminate based on forms of payment, some people dont even HAVE credit cards. Then after I keep trying to explain to her you cant turn people away cuz of this she hangs up on me! And I was patient with her and going around in circles with her logic the whole time, not getting mad, just trying to work with her so I could see a doctor. I called the other doctors office above this one on the list in Nob hill doctors and got an appointment scheduled in 5 min. This is NOT a doctors office, its like a massage spa posing as one just trying to get your money. No real Doctor would ever turn away a patient because they dont have a credit card... Avoid this place and just go somewhere else. Its not worth the headache.

I had such a great doctor visit today that I wanted to let others know. I moved from the East Bay and sought out someone close to me. The staff is super friendly, professional, and competent. Dr. Nguyen is the same, plus of course, he knows his medical stuff. :)  Dr. Nguyen gave me an exam and relayed his findings plus some recommendations. It wasnt rushed like Kaiser or UCSF such a caring office.Its too bad those two greencard seeking patients gave poor reviews. I think Anna is wrong about the skinny thing but whatever. I completely trust Dr. Nguyen and his staff to give me the care that I need.

Dr. Nguyen is caring, gentle and knowledgeable. I am very pleased and satisfied with his procedure. It gains confident in me and I will certainly continue to use his service.

I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for years.  I started going for Botox (which he does a FABULOUSLY). He also has a great bedside manner, is very understanding and comforting , and is supper knowledge.  I had been have problems with fatigue for years and my regular doctor was unable to figure it out.  During one of my Botox visits, I started talking about with Dr. Nguyen about it.  He had some ideas, so I booked an appointment to see him for a regular medical visit, and within a couple weeks he identified the problem and got me on the right treatment. Now, guess who my new regular doctor is?  Dr. Nguyen!  This also makes things supper convenient. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nguyen.  The rest of the staff at Recharge is also very helpful and nice.

This place is grossly fatphobic. I went here two years ago to get assessed for my green card. Part of the assessment included getting a number of vaccines. He point blank told me thank god youre not fat. At the time I didnt feel safe calling him out bc I didnt want to jeopardize  my green card. The signs outside the clinic promoting their health services have been pretty fatphobic too. This place is more concerned with how skinny you are, than your actual healthcare.

I have been to see Dr. Nguyen three times and I am impressed. He knows his stuff! I have been to many doctors over the last five years, and none of them were able to resolve my low energy. After the first visit dr. Nguyen had ideas of what could be wrong, and ordered the right teats. Three months into the treatment, I feel like I am my old self again. The staff is also warm and caring...even though I was supper late for one of my appointments and they had to disciplined me. I recommend dr. Nguyen to everyone I know.

I did a fair amount of sampling before I found Dr. Philipp. Now I have found my forever doctor! He is very gentle, very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I do think he helps to make me good aging, yes, but doing so gracefully (not overbotoxing/filling etc.

Dr. Nguyen has excellent bedside manner and takes the extra time to ensure all his patients are well taken care of. From laser to filler and even botox that I have received, my end results have me looking fabulous. I would highly recommend him for not only medical spa treatments, but as a primary care physician as well. Oh and I cant forget to mention how absolutely brilliant his medical assistants and spa staff are! you are in great hands at this office.
