Dr fernandez is the most wonderful doctor you can ever find he takes his time ,never in a rush great patient care skills ,he truly cares about all his patients ,I love visiting him i have had neck fusion ,shoulder ,elbow ,hand surgeries .he has helped me manage my pain ,highly recommend he is simply the BEST . Dr Fernandez is one of the coolest human beings ever - very intelligent, friendly, takes time to explain things to his patients, and remembers even little details from your life. He's pretty fantastic and I couldn't ask for a better doctor. Pro tip: His schedule is usually full months in advance, so if you know you need a couple of follow ups, better schedule them all up front.4 stars instead of 5 because I've had a hard time getting in touch with his staff on the phone during working hours.

One of the best! I have been seeing Dr. Fernandez for about 6 years. In addition to being very intelligent and medically astute, he is extremely caring and compassionate, plus he's a terrific human being. He has been patient and understanding about the fact that I am sensitive to pharmaceutical drugs, which means no prescribing pain pills and other medications and pushing me out the door. He always listens to me and thinks outside of the box in order to provide services that will be of benefit to me. He is well informed about a multitude of therapies and therapists all over the Bay Area. Sometimes the wait is a bit long to see him, but good doctors are hard to come by and he's worth any wait any time.

Dr. Fernandez is a wonderful doctor. Not only is he bright, sharp and analytical, but Dr. Fernandez is a caring, thoughtful doctor who goes above and beyond to ensure he gives his patients the best care possible. Can't say enough good things about this doctor. Well worth the potential wait times because he gives each patient the time they deserve and need.

It's been years since I have seen him but I do remember how wonderful hisl bedside manner is. He's very skilled and works with your condition with kindness, expertise and follow ups. Esp if you are on workman's comp. You won't regret meeting him.

Dr. Richard Fernandez is truly a caring and skilled medical professional. I have been in chronic pain for quite some time. My physical therapist recommended him... I am so happy I followed through and switched to Dr. Fernandez. He will take the time to listen to you, explain medical conditions in a way that you can understand, and will even draw on paper what he’s explaining for those of us who are visual learners. He is thorough and will NOT give up on people who are sensitive to medications. I feel so lucky to have him as my workers’ compensation doctor – in this system many doctors treat patients like cattle; get as many of the “sick†through for more pay – trust me, I have had it with being treated like a second class citizen! Dr. Fernandez is the exception to the rule because he will treat you like a human being.

Dr. Fernandez is professional and took time to fully review my MRI's to help me understand in plain language what was going on with my low back problems. He has a step by step plan to assist me in improving my back pain. I trust him completely!
