It is 6 years since my Mom died and I'm still furious at Dr. Gerber.1 star was the lowesta
Dr. Gerber is very knowledgeable and has good bedside manners, uncommon nowadays.
Dr. Gerber has been our family doctor for more than 15 years and we have received excellent care. Highly recommend him for way he provided patient care to his clients.
Dr. Gerber was my Mother's doctor for a very long time, yet when she was 96 and failing fast, he refused my request to order hospice. He said Alzheimer's is not an automatic cause and that Medicare is clamping down on doctors who over refer.Well, I was right and he was wrong. Mom died less than five months after his referral. It was a miserable, under-supported period for Mom, me, and her caregivers. We had no help. No hospital beds, nurses, support to even know she was close to dying. In my desperation, I finally called a local non-profit hospice to get their assessment. They said she definitely qualified, contacted Dr. Gerber, and enrolled her that afternoon. It was too bad she died at 11:30 before receiving any service, other than having a hospice nurse pronounce her dead saving her from an autopsy. Then, Dr. Gerber sent a "condolence" card starting: Well I guess you were right and she didn't have 6 months. Advice to elderly and family members caring from them:1. If a doctor says no to hospice, get a second opinion.2. Find a gerontologist vs. general practice doctor.3. Find a doctor who will at least do one house call for a 96 year old who can barely walk.4. Find another doctor.
Immensely knowledgeable, extremely thorough, also modest and fortunately, has a sense of humor. Relaxed manner and caring nature. Best doctor I ever had.
Very helpful and patient. Answered all my questions was genuine and sincere.
My insurance plans changed and I had to leave my doctor of four years, I was nervous to look for another and then I came across some great reviews on the the web for Dr. Gerber. I took a leap of faith and I am so glad I did. He is wonderful and his staff as well.I came down with a cold that took a turn for the worst and kept me in bed for a week, I knew there had to be something else going on and I called Dr. Gerber's office. I was worried because I'd not met him yet, worried that he wouldn't see me for a cold in cold season. To my surprise they made room to see me. One star! When it was my turn to "see the doctor", He sat me down in his office and listened to my medical history, asked questions and was interested, then he took me into one of the rooms you usually wait in for the doctor to show up. One big star.I also noticed that the folks at his office are incredibly kind to the elderly and they listen to them. One star for compassion. One star for the fantastic decor, 60's movie posters, comic strips and a really neat apothecary cabinet which holds all kinds of old medicine bottles and other medical antiques. Posted pictures. The best part of the whole experience was that he listened to me and all of my concerns and I left feeling like I had resolution and options! Big fifth star.Thank you Dr. Gerber, I look forward to future visits for me and my fiance.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
