After two bouts with Afib and one with its cousin aflutter, my heart was brought back to sinus. It's been a few years now and haven't had either of the two again.This Doctor not only has a great bed side manner, he is the Doctor you want when your hearts electrical properties are miss firing. Before my procedure, I felt like a 3, now I feel like a 9.5. I always wanted to thank this fine Doctor for saving my life, now I guess I just did.Thank you for all that you've done for me and my heart Dr. Hongo, your the best. God bless.. George

Dr. Hongo is super smart, charming, and convincingly lied to me about every aspect regarding a replacement defibrillator implant surgery. While I was unconscious he gave me a brand new jagged scar and a big rock in the middle of my pec that I will have to live with for the next 10+ years. Unlike my fist implant that was placed as if it were a pec implant, and a scar in the natural lines of my chest. I was surprised before surgery when the nurse told me they needed to shave the entire half of my chest. I was hesitant and they told me DR Hongo would discuss it with me. In the prep room Dr Hongo came in, obviously put out and told me "get your chest shaved now or get out". In retrospect, I deeply regret not leaving then. If you care at all about how your body looks after getting a defibrillator or pacemaker stay as far away as you can from Dr Hongo & Sutter.

Today marks a year since my ablation. Dr. Hongo has given me the freedom to live my life, simplest   way I can describe it. I had SVT for years and was pretty symptomatic which only gotten worse with age. It took me years to finally brave up and take the next step. I had consultation with Dr. Hongo and at the end of my visit I knew I will be doing my procedure with him. Two weeks later I had my procedure and  since then I've been living my life. For those people out there who is thinking about SVT ablation go see Dr. Hongo. Your life will change for the better! Angelica

I had two ablations with Dr Hongo. His treatment is very thorough. During the last one he spent 5 hours tracking diffuse trigger points. Following that treatment I had no AFib events for more than 9 years. His office and staff are very professional and effective.

Dr Hongo spent more than an hour or more with me on my first visit and explained everything beautifully with illustrations. He said, "I think I can cure you". I laughed, thinking he was joking. I had been fainting for years and the fainting had worsened to the point of unpredictability. I thought "cure" was a figure of speech. The cause was atrial fibrillation which I had apparently had since I was very young. I had an ablation with Pulmonary Vein Isolation last year. The effects were immediate and life changing. I went from barely being able to walk up a hill (which is remarkably limiting in San Francisco) to being able to walk over 52 flights and 5 plus miles several times a week. I feel healthier than I have ever been. To say "cured" is truly an understatement. It may take a few months to get in to see him but it is well worth the wait. Your life will be changed for the better!!

I also had a catheter ablation procedure about 3 years ago, and have not had an irregular heartbeat since the surgery. I am checked periodically by his well trained staff. He runs a great office. All professional and very respectful.
