Romana Usman's Online Review Report Card

I usually dont write reviews but Ive had a quite a few bad experiences with this doctor. Ive had her for around 2.5 years. Every time I make an appointment with Dr.Usman, she is always late at least 2030 mins. When I would see her, there were a few times she would come in and out of the room, leave me waiting for 1520 mins, come back for 510 mins to talk to me and then leave the room for another 2030 mins to talk on the phone with other patients.There was a time I needed a flu shot, Dr.Usman left the room to talk to a patient on the phone and didnt come back for 30 mins. I got impatient and left the room to see what was going on. A nurse saw me and she told me I could leave. I told the nurse I hadnt gotten my flu shot yet, so the nurse had to give me the shot instead. Real unprofessional!  Overall, a simple appointment would take over an hour and a half. Shes a nice lady and I understand that shes busy but making a patient wait more than 30mins1 hour each appointment and giving a halfassed check up is very unprofessional. It has been very unprofessional and a waste of my time.Im finally switching to a new doctor and hopefully I will get a better doctor.

This is the best doctor Ive had in a long time. Im so used to doctors who are detached, rushed and arrogant. Ive been properly trained to be a quick and efficient patient, but Dr. Usman still seems to genuinely care and almost always tries to give me some sort of referral. These reviews from people that said they had to wait a week for an appointment have obviously never had Kaiser or any large healthcare system. This is the world we live in now. However, I would agree that Dr. Usmans office and communication channels leave something to be desired. DO NOT bother leaving a message with the answering service. Only call during business hours and be very clear. If technological advancements in communication are your main gig, go somewhere else, but if you would prefer an oldschool, decent doctor in an otherwise sterile medical field, you might like Dr. Usman.

I do not recommend this doctor at all. She does not check her email frequently as every doctor should. I have never had any issues about getting a prescription because the first one did not work. She wants me to go in even through COVID when I just went in for this same reason. The first antibiotic did not work so I requested a different one and she sent me the same one 1 wk later. I do not recommend anyone going to her especially for a life threatening issue because she will not get back to you in time. I will not go back to her again.

I'm so lucky to have found Dr. Usman. She takes the time to listen and understand my questions/concerns. She takes the time to explain and talk about health improvement strategies. I feel she cares beyond her responsibility as a doctor. Very grateful to have someone I trust.

Dr. Usman has been my physician for many years. She is smart, precise, patient , thorough, compassionate and has a good sense of humor. She will diagnose and treat your condition correctly. She listens to you and will do whatever she can to help you. I trust her 100%! Her office staff is great too! Very kind and patient!!

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. We've been patients for 8 years now. Even when busy they work to fit us in and do every time. Couldn't be happier with the care we receive.

Dr Usman is great when you meet her. However, follow up through her office or her patient ally portal is dismal. I have been waiting for weeks for work order for follow up investigational work despite multiple calls to her office and writing a message to her through her portal. My condition isnt serious but if someone had a serious condition this would not be sustainable.

Terrible. Very very poor customer care. They don't respond to you if you leave a message to schedule an appointment. No matter how urgent. This has happened on multiple occasions.

Its unfortunate she doesnt have a manager. She wrote a note saying take it easy for a week.  My boss and I did not understand what take it easy for a week because it did not say I was off. And I landed me back in the er because she doesnt work Wednesdays. In the ER the dr said I went back to work to soon and that is what triggered it. This is an ER visit that couldve been avoided and I feel like I shouldnt have to pay for it. She also couldnt see me that day because she was off.

I am taking this opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Romana Usman and her incredible office staff and nurses especially Sandra and Inez.  I have been a patient of Dr. Usman for 20+ years and would happily recommend her services to everyone.  She is a great doctor who actually listens to her patients and truly cares about them. She has healed me through many health challenges in my life and I am so grateful to her and her incredible staff that is the gold standard of patient care!  Thank you so much for always taking care of me....medical super heroes!
