St. Anthony's Father Alfred Center's Online Review Report Card

Saint Anthony Foundation- Oh yes!! It's that time of the year; A time that the Christmas tree is adorned and beautiful ornaments are showcased and many gifts are ardently placed. Among these gifts are the Saint Anthony Foundation. The attributes from this non-profit venue the block-party (given on 11/20/23.)Appearances by both San Francisco's chiefs of Police and Fire departments among the many jubilant staff and volunteers were of course, the happy recipients of the wonderful "Tenderloin." With these gifts (as far as my personal experience matters) The very attentive dining room staff, the "magic chef", and last, but definitely not least, among holiday gifts is my illustrious case manager-Demetrius. Hopefully i'm reviewing the right place. If i'm reviewing the wrong place i will remove my review. St Anthony's kitchen where they allow people to come in and eat at 12:00pm. The food they serve here is disgusting. I have a job. I've had multiple over the last 10 years in SF. What has been happening lately since the city has gotten more expensive is very often is i run out of money so i end up having to come to a place like this. The food really is disgusting. Of the maybe 10 times i've been there i can't been able to finish one tray. Recently within the last month i had to leave my job because they weren't giving me enough hours to afford to eat and to commute to and from work. They lowered my hours from 30 to 12 per week. I ran out of money and i tried eating at this place. It was soo bad that i got sick and ended up willingly going 3 days without food because of how bad the food is. Thankfully on the 4th day i got paid from somewhere and was able to get some edible food. When i was in there i noticed that most of the food was not being eaten but thrown away. I think it's astronomical how much bad food they serve that ends up being thrown away. They are knowingly serving food that the majority of homeless people don't want to eat. Usually homeless people aren't picky eaters. The staff and volunteers seem like nice people. Every time i ate here it reminded me of the television show Kitchen Nightmares where the Chef Gordon goes into a failing restaurant and tries their food and criticizes the Chef's and tell them how bad their food is. Every time i sat down to eat it made me think of Gordon's facial expressions I know beggars aren't supposed to be choosers but i think that there should be limits to what is acceptable for human consumption. Now i deliver groceries for less than the San Francisco minimum wage just so that i don't have to come to places like this. I would rather spend 12 hours making $40 than come back to eat at this place. At least with that $40 i can buy something that isn't going to make me sick. I can't imagine that any of their regular visitors are getting much better by coming here or are able and motivated to go out and work after eating this garbage on a regular basis.
