Finally got fed up and changed my primary care physician. Incompetent staff and broken system. I've never seen this level of incompetence anywhere else. I had to call 5-6 times over 2 months for a simple billing matter. What should have been answered in the first attempt in 2 minutes, took endless calls. What's worse is that every time they gave me a different answer. Once they told me that the insurance code had been corrected already but it takes 2-3 weeks to get applied. Then they said, it has been fixed and my portion is zero. None of these were true. Finally they told me that this is the correct code and they won't change anything. Why didn't you tell me this from the beginning? I shouldn't have to spend hours on the phone to get to this answer. Why didn't doctor Akazawa call me back? It would take 2 minutes to resolve this. They passed me between the different Sutter billing departments which apparently don't talk to each other (hospital and clinic). You can't talk to Dr. Akazawa. Every time you call a new incompetent person picks up the phone, takes some incomplete notes and tells you they'll get back to you. Then they pass the incorrect notes to someone else who didn't understand what you're asking for and they'll eventually get back to you with some useless information because everything was lost in translation. Sutter health: all of these are documented in my file if you really care about fixing this. Otherwise don't bother with posting a comment here saying you are sorry about this! Fix you system.
Dr. Akazawa is not a good doctor she could care less about her patients and does not help you find the professionals you need for your HMO. Please don’t choose her save yourselves grief.

This doctor gets off on messing with people she was refusing to fill out bloodwork forms for a work wellness program because I hadn't seen her in person even though my work had said just the bloodwork was fine. I kept pushing the point and said I would find a new doctor after this because she also was very unhelpful in letting me know what PTs and therapists are covered, and I couldn't believe she was refusing to fill out the forms-I've never had a doctor be so obstinate for no reason about something so petty. Anyway just to spite me she then signed the forms BLANK, stating I hadn't gotten bloodwork done, which is a blatant lie the results are there on my portal from this year. That's right, she perjured her signature and wanted to waste lab resources on repeat labs just to spite a patient. This person should not be interacting with patients she's horrible Sutter health is also the most terrible insurance I've ever had join Brown and Toland if you have blue shield HMO please save yourselves!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
