Tamer Fakhouri's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Fakhouri for 56 years now, and couldnt recommend him more! I am a very complex patient with multiple chronic issues and Dr. Fakhouri juggles all of them with ease. He is happy to consult with my specialists, and recommends both medications and lifestyle changes I can make for a range of issues. Hes also really great at responding to emails, and makes sure to circle back to check on how I am doing for a particular issue we talked about last.Before Dr Fakhouri, I didnt have a regular primary care doctor as most issues were handled by specialists. But I am so glad this has changed! He certainly makes my life easier, and is a trusted resource. Not to mention, I would totally be friends with him outside of our professional relationship hes great at being supportive and putting you at ease.

Ive been seeing Dr. Fakhouri as my primary care physician for maybe four years now.  I cant believe I havent written a review before hes an incredibly perceptive, attentive physician who takes the time to listen to your story and talk to you.  Hes wicked smart, yet humble.  Hes also very up to date and doesnt hesitate to recommend treatments or lifestyle changes that can help your situation but always in a kind, supporting way.Now Im not bragging, but Ive known a few (thousand) doctors.  Ive managed hospitals and medical groups.  Ive worked with some of the top doctors in the country over the years.  I say this only to underscore that I know when Im working with a truly exceptional physician.  Dr. Tamer Fakhouri is exactly that.  BTW, One Medical is a membership fee based practice and worth every penny.  Ive been very impressed over the 9 years Ive belonged.  Its not uncommon for me to consult with Dr. Fakhouri or his team by email or phone (I travel a lot) and they always get back to me very promptly.  Just one minor example of how a practice like this works:  During the wine country fires the unexpected smoke had me on the edge of an asthma attack and I didnt have an inhaler handy (my bad!).  I emailed Dr. Fakhouri who was on jury duty so he had another member of the team prescribe a new one, at a pharmacy I dont normally use but near my office.  Problem solved within an hour.  Asthma attack avoided.  Gratitude deserved!  Thanks Tamer for being an amazing doctor.  Your stuck with me for years to come!

Ive seen Dr. Fakhouri as my primary doctor for about 1.5 years now, and Im very happy I made a switch from my prior doctor.  He is very knowledgeable and professional, and he listens to your medical issues, explains what is going on, and thoroughly addresses your concerns without rushing (including answering those dumb questions that you just need answered to know youre NOT dying).  Dr. Fakhouri responds to questions quickly and in general just gets things done without delay.  That is such an important factor in just feeling that the process is moving along and things can get better.  Combined with the ease of the One Medical team and services Im extremely happy with my choice.  I only wish I tried this years earlier!

Dr. Fakhouri is an amazing man and doctor. He did an extensive analysis of my blood work to hypothesize that I had internal bleeding. At first I didnt believe him after all, its not like he completed his residency at Yale...oh wait, he did. So I reluctantly went to see the GI specialist he recommended...who removed a benign tumor!! I feel much better now that Im not anemic. He also responds to emails within 24 hours. Could you ask for any more from your doctor?

After visiting Doctor Fakhouri, I rapidly learnt (I think for the very fist time) how easily you could forget you are at the doctors office. His educational and research background (both impressive!) just underline the quality of service he is bound to offer. His professionalism, yet emphatic charisma are always present in his dialogue, showing that he brings the human side we always care for and want in a doctor. He listens, he cares, he wants things done, and above all: he goes for keeping your health in good shape! A round of applause to you doctor, you good Sir, are certainly being recommended! Bravissimo!

I started seeing Dr. Fakhouri after my previous doctor at One Medical (Dr. Singh, whom I loved!) decided to move into corporate healthcare. I was certain I would never find another doctor who would impress me as much as Dr. Singh, and so I am ecstatic to have fallen into the hands of Dr. Fakhouri. What luck to have been blessed with two incredible doctors in a row...One Medical is definitely doing something right in their recruitment practices. It seems strange to actually look forward to going to the doctor, but I truly do. Every time I see Dr. Fakhouri, I leave feeling more knowledgeable about my health and super happy to have such a supportive and capable doctor. He is incredibly thorough and really up to speed on current medical research, always takes the time to go through my medical history and discuss any new physical or mental health issues I may be experiencing, and is incredibly easy to talk to regardless of how uncomfortable the topic might be. He really has such a wonderful gentleness and caring feeling about him, and there is never even a hint of condescension or judgment in his voice. As with Dr. Singh before him, it is well worth the $150 membership fee at One Medical to have access to Dr. Fakhouri.

One Medical is efficient, professional, yet personable.  Everyone Ive dealt with there acrosstheboard is friendly, helpful, and quite knowledgeable.     I picked Dr. Fakhouri based on the distinguished academic credentials of his profile on the One Medical web site.  I just had my physical.  Excellent choice!  Dr. Fakhouri is as impressively smart as his profile suggests.  He listens.  He explains things well.  Hes thorough, takes his time.  And he comes off like a goshdarnit nice guy.  I am confident in his expertise, his conclusions and his advice.Being averse to medical appointments, its rare that I leave a doctors office thinking, Wow, that was a good experience.  Im glad I had that appointment.  But my physical today at One Medical really was an excellent experience.  Id definitely recommend Dr. Fakhouri.
