The first psychiatrist (Andrew Cunanan) wouldn't take me because "my history of self harm was too recent". Oh I'm sorry sir, is my several months of hard fought cleanness not enough for your precious sensibilities? What are you even working in the MH field for? I even explained I wasn't looking for a therapist, I was looking for med management because my mental health meds and physical health meds were going to potentially overlap and my other drs were recommending I get a psychiatrist to help oversee that. Needless to say after that experience I won't be going to anyone in this practice. If you decide too, make sure you lie about any self harm or ideation. Wouldn't wanna hurt the psychiatrist's feelings with ugly truth now would we?
I worked there for a while. There are some psychologists who work here who are excellent. The psychiatrist in charge is amazing. The owner/CEO, Britney Blair, however, is volatile and very toxic.. She is severely narcissistic to the point of psychopathy. She's terribly insecure and hates other women, and provokes intensely hostile working situations that I have never encountered in my professional life. A few of us coworkers firmly believe she's psychopathic. Many people who have worked for her feel the same way. Toward my male colleagues, she was consistently over sensual and completely inappropriate. Please do not work for this person.
I've worked with Dr Valesia Ho for nearly two years. Today was my last session, focusing on sleep issues that I've had for more than a decade. When we started working, I wasn't able to sleep more than 4 hours in a block. She worked with me through a bunch of exercises that helped me slow down my overall thoughts during the day, which lead to more restful sleep. We started meeting weekly, and as I made progress we shifted to biweekly, monthly, etc. It took a long time, but looking at how I sleep now (generally at least seven hours of sleep without waking up) and comparing it to then, I'm in a much better spot. I can't recommend her enough.
They required a deposit to begin treatment, the remainder would be refunded to my card after my insurance processed the claims. The refund never came and The Clinic said my insurance hadn't processed the claims. When I contacted my insurance it turns out the claims had been processed quite awhile ago. I had difficulties getting a hold of billing, the number on my invoice doesn't even go to their office. Only after getting my insurance agent involved did they agree to finally issue my refund. Interestingly they don't have the ability to issue the refund back on my card like promised, they said they have to mail me a check and it'll take 30 days to do so. It's clear that The Clinic does not intend to return the deposits they take. Once my insurance processed the claim TC should have issued my refund like promised without me having to fight for it. They don't even have the means to issue refunds as promised which is really telling. It's been 4 months since my insurance processed the claims, and it'll be 5 months by the time I get the money if they even actually mail me the check. That's an egregious time-line. It makes me really sad because people come here to get treatment for the mental health, not to leave more distressed then when they came.
If you think you’ll receive quality care from this institution; I’d like to inform you of exactly how wrong you are. I saw Dr. Armando Leon and it took me having to have spent nearly $2,500 before this man even attempted to treat me like a human and not a paycheck. His condescending and rude comments take me aback at even the thought. This place is meant to drain your pockets and there is ZERO regard for patient wellness. Avoid at all costs
Wish they hadn't been the top ad on Yelp. Was diagnosed and have been on medication for years with great success. Moved and was looking for something online, 1st appointment was $400 to talk about any issues I had following gps directions. 2 days later was told months of brain scans. Should have done my research, apparently common doctor money grab.
last 2 times I was in I really could have used someone to take a minute to actually want to talk to me and help answer questions instead of just getting you in and out as soon as possible. Online is full of information that is hard to sift through and I just feel like I was given a test and being pushed out. My experience at the old location was really positive but recently both times I've come in I've been frustrated between the people booking the apts not being clear and not setting up the apt properly and the docs not really being helpful or thorough.
After feeling stuck in my life and relationship for far too long, I decided to resume my mental healthcare after my longtime therapist retired a few years before. Finding a therapist you connect with and you feel respected by can be a daunting task to undertake. It requires you to exhibit some sort of openness and that can be draining. I wasn't really looking forward to taking on the task but I knew it was time. I looked up some reviews, did my investigation, and found the amazing Dr.Ty Canning. Not only did he and I relate well, but I trust him. This is key. I trusted my last therapist, sort of. I saw her as more of a grandmotherly figure and didn't feel like I could swear or just say unabashedly what was on my mind. With Dr. Canning the relationship is much different. I feel totally comfortable saying anything. Anything at all! Even the smallest of grievances were addressed via open and honest communication. Really, any grievance was just a miscommunication. Sometimes you loathe going to therapy. With Dr. Canning I can't wait to see him each and every week. The story gets better! After some internal reflection and guidance from Dr. Canning, I was referred to a prescribing Psychiatrist in the clinic. If I thought Dr. Canning was spectacular, the addition of Samantha Scherzinger has made me feel invincible! Not because ". I'm cured", but because," I have made so much progress." And I'm happy. And even if I'm not feeling so happy, I know Dr. Canning and Dr. Scherzinger have my back. Who says THAT about their therapists??? Well. I do.
Do not use this organization they will do what they can to take your money. I called them up seeking a screening for a specific condition. They connected me to a doctor they said could help me, but when the session came the doctor first did all the intake stuff to eat up time then he told me he could not help me with the issue I came to him for (but oh, of course he'd be willing to do other things!). And after that, they dare to bill me. They are out of network so I am out of the money.
No star - DO NOT RECOMMEND I filled out the intake paperwork 24 hours in advance like asked. Two hours before my appointment I was notified by their admin staff that I was being turned away from a video screening Bc my paperwork put me in a "risky category". We currently are in a global pandemic where physically we can't meet in person. Further more for some of us, since we are seeking mental health help, are terrified of leaving their house and getting sick. The Clinic basically turned me down and discriminated me based off of my intake paperwork. When I spoke to Britney Bliar about the matter she was unprofessional and defended her staffs actions. It really makes someone who clearly needed help feel even more trapped when a doctor, whose job it is to evaluate people, turns you down. I've noticed The Clinic has been responding to posts to lie and cover up their actions. Please don't bother responding to mine. This is what happened. People deserve to make their own decisions based off of your bad evaluations, not your excuses.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
