Therapy Now Sf's Online Review Report Card

I sent an email on Therapy Now SF website at a little after 12am today 1/30/24 and received a call a little after 9am this morning. Wow!!! I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Andrea Zorbas who was understanding, patient and knowledgeable of my need for a specific psychologist. Although my initial call was for a Black psychologist, without a doubt I believe Dr. Zorbas would have been a fabulous mental health provider for me, but she's not taking new clients. I felt so supported by her unconditional support towards me. She said that even if Therapy Now SF cannot assist me, she'll help me find someone who can meet my needs. What a true blessing! Although I haven't received any services at this time, I would highly recommend them based on my interaction with Dr. Zorbas!👍🏼👍🏼

Dr. Nina is a godsend. I actually feel like ME again. My sleep is restful and my energy is stabile. And I'm no longer waking up with burning pain in my stomach. I will say without reservation that it was Dr. Nina's expertise that got me here. She used specialized testing to understand the health of my gut, helped me get rid of problem foods that my GI system didn't like, and used herbal medicines and nutrition to get me balanced. As a doctor, she is thorough, and doesn't make off-the-cuff recommendations. She also explains things well: from how complex hormonal systems interact...to the pros and cons of different treatments...to what various backup plans could look like. I am someone who asks a lot of questions, and Dr. Nina handled every one of them well. I feel grateful for her skills as both an educator and a doctor.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Christina Mathieson, LMFT as a colleague. Christina is compassionate, caring and understanding, as well as bright, motivated, professional, reliable, and competent. I would highly recommend working with her if given the opportunity. She is trained in many modalities and has a broad skill set to work with a wide range of issues. Most importantly she is warm and present, able to form those meaningful connections. Clients of hers have expressed their appreciation for her style, her presence, her thoughtful feedback, and her ability to take them deeper and develop deeper insight.

Kiai Kim is a colleague of mine. I have worked with her at a nonprofit organization offering mental health services to students and their families. Kiai is compassionate towards her clients and is incredibly knowledgeable. She has been effective in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment issues and more. Kiai is an excellent clinician-in-training and a pleasure to work with.

For the past 6 years I have worked as a medical provider with Dr. David Shepard, and I cannot express enough how wonderful and effective he is with his clients. David's primary expertise tends be a focus on relationship issues, anxiety, depression and sexuality. He is an extremely good listener and immediately puts his clients at ease. Besides being a great listener, he is devoted to mindfulness and visualization. He has a great way of helping clients re-frame the issues that they're struggling with, and provides them with the tools they need to navigate their challenges. David has developed long lasting relationships with his clients over the years. He is dedicated and respectful, and always seems to know the right thing to say. I highly recommend him to anyone of all ages needing therapeutic services.

Dr. Zorbas is an incredible therapist - she is empathic and thoughtful, yet direct and honest with her patients. She is someone who truly cares and has the knowledge to help people. She has a lot experience in the field, from community mental health work and various counseling centers to teaching at USF. I consult with her regularly to help with my patients, and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a meaningful therapeutic relationship.

I have been a colleague of Therapy Now SF Founder Dr. Andrea Zorbas since 2015. Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to consult with her on numerous occasions about working with clients in my private practice. She always asks helpful questions to guide me in thinking through my treatment plans, rather than just giving me advice. She is a patient and compassionate listener, an experienced and knowledgeable psychologist, and someone who cares deeply about her clients and the therapists in her group practice. She is also highly professional, encourages feedback from clients and students, and is very approachable. On a more personal note, I find Andrea to be warm and funny, which makes the process of therapy, which can be challenging at times, much easier.

She is very warm and listens well.
