Saw Dr. Hoang in May 2018 for pre-colonoscopy consultation and was exrtremely impressed with his thoroughness and knowledge. Had June colonoscopy with no complications or adverse effects; looking forward to follow-up visit in 6 weeks.
My parents have been going to him for a long time but when something happens he never picks up the phone. My mom broke her leg and hospital ask for some medication records but he left for home at 2:30. I have to threaten to sue him before he calls back. My dad had a stroke and went to the Chinese hospital across from his clinic and the ER call to see what medication hes been taking. And no surprise. NO ANSWER. they went to lunch before noon and didnt come back til 2. Its like hes eating shit and its hard to swallow. FUCK this doctor. Go to him if you want to waste your time and be frustrated.
So I picked the doctor closest to my apartment from the list of doctors covered under my United Healthcare HMO. To begin with, the building itself looks like it was condemned or something, so old, run down and scary looking. Inside, not as bad, but still pretty run down. The issue was that maybe his English wasnt good enough to explain to me properly what he was trying to say, because his answers to my questions were I dont know which is unsettling coming from a doctor. To top it off, when I asked if all his referrals would be covered by my insurance, he said I think so, but I dont know for sure. When I asked the receptionist about my coverage, same answer I think so. They said its the patients job to figure out their insurance, but I have never been to any clinic that did not do that before.Later, I tried to follow up with blood tests I had done and sent to the clinic, but they never called me back. I tried calling a few times, I either got no answer or they told me theyd call me back with the results. Never happened... receptionist wasnt friendly or helpful either.Waste of time :( I hope they give better service in Chinese
This guy, is basically, the worst of the worst of all the doctors Ive ever met. Every time I go there for a regular checkup, I would see a bunch of people waiting, and thats not because he is famous or so great that a lot of people wanted to go see him. His assistant would assign loads of patients appointments in a very crunchedtime manner despite the fact that the doctor does not know how to manage his time wisely. For example, if his opening hour in the morning is 10am, there will be one to two patients WITH APPOINTMENTS waiting for him. Oh but I forgot to mention that he doesnt come until 10:3010:35!!!! If you think thats bad, try getting an appointment in the afternoon. I once had a schedule with him at 3pm, but I waited and finally saw him walking into his office at 4:20..... and did I mention that his lunch hour ended AT FREAKIN 2PM!!!! In conclusion, if you dont mind wasting 12hours+ sitting on a chair waiting while your doctor is munching in leisure, go ahead and make an appointment with him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
