If I could give a zero I would. We are in the middle of a damn pandemic. The morning of my appt, I started feeling a strange tickle in my throat.. could I have made the appt YES, but was it the responsible thing to do NO.. so I phoned them the morning of my appt, they advised me to stay home. Why did I get a $200 no show fee??%T*^(&O$#U%$^&*I phoned in, receptionist took my name and number said "Ruby" would phone me back. One day passed, two then three.. I phoned back, same thing... "Ruby" will have to call you back. by the third call I was naturally pissed as NO RUBY called me back. Long story short, got a hold of Ruby for her to tell me there was some accounting error which needed to be fixed. That was in December. It's mid Jan that shit was still showing up on my acct. I called, "Ruby" will have to call you back - that was at 4pm (of course she wasn't going to call me that day). I'm traumatized from the last receptionists empty promises. So I called at 10am... she's in a mtg.. REALLY? Now I'm getting annoyed... so I stated my concern. Do you know this Ruby called me back and asked me NOT to harass her staff!!! RUBY, you can protect your staff by DOING YOUR JOB. Anyway the wench took care of it LOL... thaaaaaaaaank you Ruby! DO NOT GO TO DR. VANESSA'S EVER!! I see other reviews, she seems to need to find a new profession along w. Ruby!

Extremely disappointed with SF Ear Nose and Throat and Dr. Vanessa Erickson. The clinic lacks any semblance of professionalism and quality care, so please do not take your child here. Not only did she make me wait nearly an hour for my scheduled appointment, but Dr. Erickson spent a total of less than 10 minutes with us, which gave her just enough time to completely misdiagnose my son for both tongue and lip tie. As if this wasn't shocking enough, the clinic charged $585 for what she classified as a 45-59 minute session. A pathetic practice at best!

BEWARE: SHADY BILLING PRACTICES, EXPENSIVE TREATMENTS, AND NOT HELPFUL WITH A PEDIATRIC CLIENT WITH A LEARNING DISABILITYI've been going to Vanessa for a couple years, and it was going well.  Helped me out with sinus infections and things were going well until I decided to send my son in for an audiology test for an SFUSD IEP evaluation.  They claimed they had the expertise to handle it, but didn't.  The audiologist lacked experience to handle the appointment. Then, I got into a billing dispute over it.  Rather than Bass Medical do a proper explanation of services with me to make sure I understood what services he was actually billed for (I refused to pay for a while), they sent it to a collection agency.Not only that, they are very expensive and will recommend the most expensive tests available.  They also did a sinus inspection while having a sinus infection that was very painful and because of covid they claimed they couldn't use any numbing agent.  So painful!I will need to start shopping around for another ENT after having difficulty finding one in the first place I liked.  So disappointed, it was going well at first.

Awful experience with her and the office. She's a very fast talking, cold person with no compassion.  I made an appointment to have surgery but then canceled it because I realized I wasn't comfortable with her. I got a bill for $300 for a late cancellation, with 8 days notice. The office informed me of the 10 day policy. There was no mention of this in the packet I was sent home with. When I called the office with this concern, they said, "Oh, we don't always include that in the packet. I've always had good results from letter writing. I wrote to Dr Erickson with no luck, she wasn't willing to eliminate the cancellation fee. I think it's unprofessional, sneaky and shows a lack of care for people. I have medicare and am low income. I scheduled the surgery with another doctor and paid nothing yet it cost me money to have nothing done from this doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Erickson for several years now.  My condition is very complicated, yet Dr. Erickson handles it with ease, confidence, and as painlessly as possible.  She is very friendly and knowledgeable.  She is the only MD that I will let take care of my ears.  I travel from LA to SF just to continue treatment with her, after several failed attempts down here.

Two family members have seen her. She explains things well so you can understand. One of us, she performed surgery. The process was very smooth. She doesn't sugar coat things but is honest in her assessment. Our patient followed her post op instructions well and things have turned out fabulously. In our case his was a child, which can be more challenging. Highly recommended.

Dr Kenyon (now Erickson) is terrific. She is friendly, honest, caring, & attentive. She is also extremely knowledgeable in her field and a highly talented surgeon. She exhausted every path before recommending sinus surgery. I’m 6 months out from the procedure and I feel great. Because of her attention to detail and communication skills I knew what to expect every step of the way. I highly recommend her if you’re having sinus issues

I recommend Dr. Erickson to any one that has issues with their nose. She is very knowledgeable and will give you great advice. In my case she was extremely attentive and caring. I had a nose procedure with her and she was amazing. Very caring and professional, she made sure that I did not have any pain and explained every single step of the procedure. I feel lucky I found Dr. Vanessa for this procedure since it's not easy to find a great doctor that really cares for their patients. I will give her more than five stars if I could.

I saw Dr. Vanessa Erickson, who used to be Dr. Vanessa Kenyon in the past. She was great! Never had a problem until now. I use to work in the same building as the office so it was convenient for me to walk downstairs to make an appointment and to cancel an appointment. I made an appointment sometime in June and I remember going downstairs to talk to the front desk staff to cancel my appointment since I was going on vacation. I gave them at least 2 weeks notice. She cancelled and I was good to go. I received a bill for $100 for 2 no show fees. How did I get 2 no show fees when I only had one appointment. I called and spoke to the billing department that was located in Oakland with a guy named Anthony. He said he will take care of it and disregard the bill.I got another bill one month later with a $50 no show fee. I told them I went down to the office myself and cancelled it so why am I charged a no show fee. It's not my fault that the front desk staff was talking about non work related topics and forgot to cancel my appointment. I called again and actually spoke with the front desk. She said she will talk to Dr. Erickson and will call me back.I got a call back saying that they will waive my no show fee, but I can not be a patient at that office. And if I really needed to see her, I would have to pay the $50! What a slap in the face! I have always paid my copays BEFORE my appointment. I never had an overdue bill. This is how they treat patients! Don't go to this office! The front desk is horrible and Dr. Erickson has no compassion. My word against the front desk staff. Why would I ruin my relationship with an office who works well with my office?TERRIBLE!

Dr. Vanessa Erickson Kenyon is a very patient and intelligent doctor who appears to be outstanding at what she does. I was referred to her by another doctor who described her as one of the outstanding young doctors in her field. She seemed careful in her diagnosis and answered all my questions. She also has a great sense of humor and joked about her daughter Frankie and her love of pirates.
