List of Cyy Acupuncture & Herbs's Reviews
I've been dealing with mild vertigo for many years now but only started having a real issue with it a couple of years ago. I've done all the tests, seen specialists but no one can figure out why I have vertigo. Last resort was to go to acupuncture and lucky enough it helped keep it at bay for me. I would go about once a month at another spot although I've heard very good things about CYY. I went elsewhere initially because it was more convenient and closer to home. A few weeks ago my vertigo became an absolute nightmare to the point where I couldn't function. My regular acupuncturist wasn't available so my mom told me to come here since the doctor is really good. I'm SO glad I booked an appointment here. I've been coming everyday 3-4 days for the past few weeks. Dr. Chen and his wife Jenny are so sweet. He listened to my issues and treated me for about 30 min each session. They even have a special bed where you can retract the head piece if you're too dizzy to lay completely flat. He told me to keep coming back until I feel 100% better. As of today, I feel 95% better. Hopefully the next session will be the last for a while. The costs do add up BUT it's completely worth it. Health is wealth after all. He healed my moms back Arthritis within a few weeks! He is extremely experienced in his practice. I definitely feel he's one of, if not already, the best acupuncturist in SGV. You won't regret going to them.
My review is overdue for this precious acupuncture practice. I started coming here after I had COVID back in 2022. I suffered tremendous pain all over my body..it was what you called long COVID symptoms. There was nothing you could do for the pain with my internal medicine doctor. I was desperate to try out anything to heal the pain. I came across Dr Chen's practice, I was so fortunate to get it fixed in one month. I was really thankful for getting rid of the intolerable pain and returning to normal life. And now again, I came back to CCY recently for my shoulder/neck pain. It may stem from golf practice or due to the stress from work, or simply aging pain. Whatever the reason was, it was unbearable. I took many pain killers, got massage therapy and even tried the acupuncture near my work, which was totally waste of my time and money. Nothing worked for months. Due to my work schedule, I couldn't go any weekday to see Dr.Chen, but I found out it is open on weekends. I rushed to schedule the appointments. And it took only 2 appointments to fix the pain again. Dr Chen is very soft spoken and kind. This place may not be the fancier setting as compared to other expensive acupuncture places. I learned that not all the acupuncture places are as good as CCY. Dr. Chen's precise diagnosis and skills are what you call the god's hands. I strongly recommend it.
I came to see Dr. Chen because my neck felt very stiff and there was a creaking sound whenever turned my neck. I have family members who were Dr. Chen's patients and he came highly recommended. After a few sessions with him I am feeling so much better. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Chen is amazing! I had a really bad eczema flare up on my face and neck to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night from extreme itchiness. I didn't want to continue using topical steroid creams and I decided to try acupuncture after seeing a couple of reviews here where Dr. Chen treated their eczema. After the first session, I could already see/feel an improvement and my skin felt less inflamed and itchy. I've been to 7 sessions so far and with the combination of acupuncture, cupping and taking the daily herbal medicine he prescribed, I would say my skin has improved by about 95%. I'll continue to go until it's fully healed. Setting up an appointment is very easy. They don't take insurance, but you can pay in cash or they've also recently started accepting credit cards (with additional 3% charge). Highly recommend trying acupuncture with Dr. Chen especially since he's able to treat different kinds of conditions or issues.
My husband injured himself during a tennis game and had been hurting for 2 years. He went to doctors and they all told him the only way to fix it is to do surgery. We went to dr. Chen and it only took 1 visit to clear the clogged blood. Since then my husband call him dr. Miracle.
I never had any Gastritis issue until one day i feel pain in the stomach after meal. DR Chen has help me recovered a lot in couple of acupuncture sessions. One nice thing about this clinic is that it offers powder herbal, unlike other acupuncture clinic where they provide actual herbal that you need to boil and cook. Gastritis is a recurring disease. Traditional doctors at hospital will only cure your symptom. DR Chen 's acupuncture and herbal tea will actually cure the disease and give nutrition to the stomach so that gastritis won't come back. Lastly, price is reasonable as compare to other acupuncture. I highly recommend DR Chen.
Dr Chen is THE BEST!!! He has helped me and my whole family with all sorts of ailments. I first saw him for my leg pain that I suffered for years! I came to see him again for calf pain from my long walks. I rave about him to anyone and everyone that talks about acupuncture. I wish I lived closer so I could go see him more frequently instead of just living with the pain.
I damaged my stomach from excessive alcohol. I had stomach pain 247 for 1 week, feeling like someone was pinching my insides 2 inches above my belly button. Without a formal diagnosis, I suspected a gastric ulcer because eating food reduced my pain while an empty stomach was excruciating. Dr Chen did acupuncture and gave me 3 days of herbs. By the end of day 2, my pain completely disappeared! I am so grateful to have met Dr Chen and his wife 3 years ago, because western medicine likely would have prescribed me anti-acids, which can cause other serious problems. Now that I am cured, I will try to reduce alcohol, a very bad habit I picked up from the pandemic. Thank you!!!
I was experiencing extreme tendonitis from an injury that developed over time from work and a family member recommended for me to try acupuncture from Dr Chen. I can confidently say that his treatment has been nothing short of life-changing. I noticed a significant improvement in my pain levels almost immediately. I highly recommend acupuncture to anyone who is struggling with tendonitis or other types of chronic pain. Pain from the needles were minimal and tolerable. If you're looking for a natural and holistic approach to healing, acupuncture is definitely worth considering. Make an appointment if possible and especially for the weekend since he can get pretty busy. But I think he also accepts walk ins. Cash only and he does not bill insurance. But definitely worth it!
I've been to 3 acupuncturists this far. I haven't really felt much difference with my condition with the first 2 acupuncturists. Dr. Chen being my third one did the magic. I started feeling relief from my acid reflux and physically feeling better. I could also tell that the dry needling he does is doing its job as I could feel pressure and energy flow at those needle points - something I didn't feel from the prior 2 acupuncturists' dry needling. Thanks Dr. Chen!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
