Fang-Rong Wang Md's Online Review Report Card

I really appreciate Dr. Wang! he's been a no nonsense, and very providing family doctor of mine for the last 25+ years. It's been great for him to be able to take care of me through all stages of my life, and I am extremely grateful that he takes great care of my older parents. I make trips from Bakersfield to go see Dr. Wang. The receptionist is also multilingual and a very kind person, this clinic is always accommodating. 日本語も OK!

The front desk lady completely denied us at first and said that they were not taking any new patients, which is really strange because Wang Fang Rong was listed as our primary care for two years already; we just haven't seen them. They responded by saying that as of 2020, they just don't accept HMOs anymore. Which also didn't make sense since my boyfriend's family members go here.Eventually we were able to argue to the point where the front lady gave up and we came in to see him. He asked a few questions and then immediately prescribed us a bunch of medications, one for breathing, one for anxiety, and one for allergies. We asked for a referral to a specialist in psychology, but he just gave us Ativan immediately. We tried to ask, but he said take this first. I thought normally you would try to have the patient talk to a specialist or provide a holistic approach before prescribing medication, especially since it's a controlled substance and can be easily abused. Then we left and that was it.

By far the worst customer service, the receptionist is absolutely rude, did not even try to help me over the phone, even less in person. I have not seen the doctor yet, he might be great but she is the downside.

The lady who answer my call was very rude and for sure she does not have the heart to help people. First I ask if they open tomorrow everything sounds good until I ask her if you take new patient because my grandfather his leg is swollen and would like to see the doctor. She reply NO, we can't help you, you need to find your own doctor and hang up!!!!this is the place to go if you want to paid money with no service and gets lots of attitude...Doctor, you might be a good doctor, well I guess I will never find out...you can lose a lot of patient if you don't evaluate your receptionist about her attitude...

The people who answered my phone is really rude, I asking for an appointment but they heard my chinese voice and start asking if I am from China and how long I lived in USA. I just want to check a regular cold, and they said go to the urgent care, they don't accept new patients with cold. That's crazy. Never been treated like this in USA

I was provided with his number from health net ,couple days ago I found out I was pregnant therefore I made the phone call to this fraud doctor , I told him I'm pregnant what will be the procedures from now since its my first time ,then he kept asking what you want from me ??what do you want from me ?I said I don't know aren't you suppose to recommend to call or see someone for check up? Then he responded with call this place after 9am ..and I was like which place ?what phone number ????(by this time I was so frustrated with his attitude and tone )I kept asking can I have the phone number so I can call after 9? he is like yea call after 9 (still not telling me what phone number to call )so then I said bye hung up!im so regret even calling this lousy doctor ,after the call I was so angry and offended ,this is really not healthy for a pregnant person !HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!

Same day appointment available and they take most insurance. You can get vaccinations here such for travels or flu vaccine. Caring knowledgeable doctor who is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese. Nice receptionist.
