Awful. Don't come here. Go somewhere else. This place is an example of why people are unhappy with healthcare in America.
Overall good experience. The front staff was nice. The nurses, phlebotomist, radiologist, and providers were very thorough and efficient at testing, diagnosing, and treating. The front waiting room didn’t look busy but it was busy on the inside. I did a walk-in at 7 pm. Did urine and blood labs, CT scans, got my diagnosis, treatment ((1) shot), and prescriptions sent to pharmacy in around 2 hr and 30 min.
Providers and staff are so helpful and understanding. I never have any doubts about the quality of care that I or my family have ever received there.
Hello My 81 year-old-stepmother was brought to the emergency room for a medical condition on 5/26/2026. We had a bad experience with the emergency doctor Jhun, Michelle. During the doctor's interview, my stepmother was kind of repeating her medical information and Dr. Jhun was observed rolling her eyes in front of my stepmother-So unprofessional and rude! When Dr. Jhun spoke to me on the phone regarding my stepmother's condition, Dr. Jhun was observed to also roll her eyes-so unprofessional and rude. Dr. Jhun may have 6 to 10 years of doctor experience but your bad attitude needs to be changed. A doctor needs to be caring and showing empathy and compassion to his/her patients. Dr. Jhun: if you need to roll your eyes, please go to a private room or bathroom to roll them, NOT infront of patients and their families. Please treat your patients and their families as your families need to be treated. The emergency nurse, Nancy made round 2 times during 9 hours of our visit. Nurse Nancy should make more rounding to check on your patients to ensure your patient safety Note: I have never written a review but not this time. This review is toward individuals NOT San Gabriel Medical Center. Thank you for reviewing this post
I don’t usually share bad experiences because I truly do believe people can be having bad days and I try to stay positive , with that being said I couldn’t help but to have to share the experience I had at this hospital . I was (and still am ) having really bad upper abdominal pain , anyone that has experienced this before knows how painful this is . It takes a lot for me to go to a hospital but when I do it’s because I really can’t deal with it anymore . I came in by ambulance with so much pain and they took forever to come and give me pain medication or help me manage my pain now I understand that ER are busy but in other hospitals they have came and tried to at least give you something to ease the pain . The nurse I had was Victor he showed no empathy and just kept saying I had to wait for the doctor to see me and that he couldn’t give me pain medication because my blood pressure was low (which I get ) even though my blood pressure is always low but he saw how much pain I was having and didn’t even care to offer suggestions to bring up my blood pressure so I can get some medicine. The doctor then told him he could give me some , unfortunately it didn’t help much and after and hour I asked if I can get more and again very rude . You come to a hospital when you feel the worst and hope that the staff can make you feel better but once I called victor rude - the rest of the staff started acting cold as well . The only person that was truly nice to me was the one that drew my blood and the 2nd nurse. Even the supervisor was not supportive. 2nd shift starts the doctor comes in barely explains anything to me , also giving me the cold shoulder and discharges me when I’m still in a lot of pain . I get paper work put on the shelf for me , have no idea what anything means had to come home and google it while in pain . There are something’s that seem to be highlighted in black that are concerning yet NOONE said hey let’s address this issue . The worst hospital experience ever !
It's complicated. This hospital is obviously understaffed but every single staff member that took care of me was excellent. I was in the ER for 19 hours because they didn't have any beds upstairs. That is unacceptable. But the doctors and nurses did their best to care for me until I could be admitted. Wen was part of the overnight staff and was incredible. The ER was not sanitary. The bathrooms in the waiting room and within the ER especially were not being maintained and I might have contracted the flu from using them. Once I was admitted to the second floor, the levels of care were exponentially better. I had around the clock care and a call button for if I needed anything. They made sure I knew what was happening with my body and gave me full control over my treatment options. The food was surprisingly acceptable; sometimes even good. One thing that I found strange was that I never was told about how billing worked or what my insurance would cover. I am lucky that they are contracted with my insurance and I only owe $50 from the ER. But it is concerning that I never was told about billing while I was there. TLDR: Hire more sanitation workers!
My mom was admitted to this hospital, my mom's nurse was named Hector he went above beyond to make sure my mom was comfortable. I asked if he would blend her food up. I wish everyone could have a nurse like him,Thank you Hector for making mom feel at ease.
Please advise to stay away from this hospital if you have older parents, or are of older age. They do not explain clearly or take measure to ensure the patient understands what's going on. The nurses and doctors have extremely poor attitude and rush your care. I took my dad to be under the hospital care and witness mistreatment, rush care, and horrible attitudes. I understand that this is a high stress job but it does not give nurses the right to lash out at my elderly father, deliver his medicine late, continuously wake him up to take out the trash so often, and belittle him when he expresses concerns for his health. They have extremely high egos and if you threaten that ego it will reflect on your care. During the duration my father was at the hospital, the doctor and nurse did not explain to me nor my father properly what was going on. Only after discharge and following up with our family doctor did we discover his infection has progressed into something much more critical- none of this was informed to us however they had it all documented to my primary doctor but never explained anything verbally. I suspect it's because of the rush job they do that it wasn't communicated properly. Please do not go here if you care about your health. I advise you to go to other hospitals in the area before you go through a horrible experience. I'm at another hospital in the area and they actually treat and talk to you kindly and make sure the patient is informed on what is going on.
Very disappointing experience. The registration staff (7am shift) was unprofessional and visibly annoyed. The patient had a wrist injury and limited English, and I was assisting with translation, yet she still pressured him to sign without proper accommodation. She also appeared to mutter something under her breath in an unprofessional manner, which made the situation even more uncomfortable before surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
