Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I had been suffering from shoulder, neck, and lower-back pain for decades! Everything became unbearable 4 years ago when my body stopped responding positively to NSAIDs-- meaning that I can no longer ingest pain killer pills. Since then (and prior to finding Evelyn at Ability Therapy) I've sought help from 2 other physical therapist offices, 4 other chiropractors, an acupuncturist, and 1 herbalist. Unfortunately, their effectiveness would always plateau with limited success, and none had been able to help me get back to normal daily function. Back in August, I summoned enough energy to research and find a good physical therapist instead of relying on de-facto referrals from my primary care doctor or friends. I gathered a list of every therapist covered by my insurance in my area and personally visited their offices one by one. When visiting Evelyn's Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy office, I was immediately drawn to their personalized one-on-one care. Now in December, we've completed our treatment periods (there were 3 treatment periods because I had issues with 3 body parts). While I still have a little more ways to go, I am overjoyed at my significant improvements, which are a stark contrast to the limited results from other clinics. Throughout my time at Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy, Evelyn devised and tailored effective therapy plans that produced results!! Her knowledge, patience, and dedication during each session were truly exceptional. Now on my own, I continue to do the stretches and exercises she devised for me because they are effective, reduces my pain, and allow me to function daily. Thanks to Evelyn's expertise, I can now perform daily activities without the constant discomfort that had plagued me for years. I highly recommend Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy and especially Evelyn Gaviola for anyone in need of effective and compassionate physical therapy. Five stars all the way! I was diagnosed with Tear Medial Meniscus on my right knee. This was manifested with pain in my right knee. It comes to the point that I had difficulty to walk and standing for a long time. And also sometimes used knee support and patch as well to lessen and avoid pain. My Orthopedic doctor referred me to Physical Therapist. After series of therapy I decided to stop. There was no progress and I still feeling the same pain. For the second time I requested for another Physical Therapy. This time I went to ABILITY OUTPATIENT PHYSICAL THERAPY. This time I made the choice with Evelyn Gaviola. She made the right assessment, Hands on all the procedures exercise and massage she applied to my knee. Now after the complete session I could say THANK YOU Very Much, Ms Evelyn no more pain and I can walk without my knee support. I know I should not abuse my knee with too much walking and standing. I got my right shoulder pain due to a biking accident. Didn’t feel better after a couple months, I went to see my doctor who after diagnosis, sent me to the Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy in San Jose. I got evaluated and treated by Ms. Evelyn Gaviola, the physical therapist there. During evaluation, Evelyn checked and explained well to me the current limits of my shoulder in strength and mobility and the plan how to get it fully back. She’s very caring, helpful, knowledgeable, thorough, flexible, patient during all the sessions. After 7 sessions spanning a little over a month, I regained my shoulder strength and mobility up to 90%. Before I concluded my time there, she gave me exercise sheet and tool and explained in detail what I should continue doing at home to get my full strength and mobility back. For someone who used to walk 10k daily, my pain reduced my activity level to only 2k a day, sometimes less. I found Ability Outpatient Therapy online and it commanded 5-star reviews from every patient. Naturally, I had to give it a try, and I'm so happy that I did. After only eight sessions with Evelyn, I am virtually pain-free. She is extremely thorough and customized my therapy to my specific needs. She always took care that I wasn't hurting myself and would constantly check on me to make sure I was not in pain during my sessions. I loved that she taught me stretches that were easy to follow yet effective. l literally do them first thing every morning before getting out of bed and I start my days knowing that I've just did something good to strengthen my body. I am now able to climb up a flight of stairs without pain, and I am progressively working my way back up to 10k of daily walking. I could not have done this without the professional care and thoroughness if Evelyn. I highly recommend Ability Outpatient Therapy and Evelyn as a physical therapist. Five plus stars! I needed Physical Therapy when I sprained my ankle from Fencing. I believe I couldn’t have experienced better treatment from anywhere else than Ability Therapy. PT Evelyn was very accommodating, skilled and knowledgeable. Overall she is an extraordinary therapist, she made our therapy sessions cool and fun. I highly recommend Ability Outpatient Physical Therapy. The area is conveniently accessible with hassle free parking spaces and located in a clean and safe environment.

This group was so accommodating to me after my knee replacement surgery. I arrived for my first session with a walker and 2 months later I am walking fine. I received 1 to 1 therapy sessions with Anjanette who was a dream to work with. I've been to other physical therapy clinics and the care I received here helped instantly. My legs were extremely tight and she just knew what to do to give me relief from the achiness of post-surgery recovery. I would highly recommend this clinic if you are needing any physical therapy. The staff is very friendly too! Always polite and willing to work with my schedule.

I have received the best therapy here at Ability Therapy. One-on-one with Evelyn is fantastic and focused. Her approach is unique and personalized. I have been to a couple PT places throughout my journey to rehab my ailing knees, including recently having partial knee replacement, and by far Ability Therapy has been the most beneficial. I would definitely recommend Evelyn at Ability Therapy.
