List of Action Urgent Care's Reviews
My PC physician was not available so had to go here. I checked reviews and found them highly rated. This was my first visit to Action urgent care. The front office staff, medical assistant who ushered me in and took my vitals and the Dr were very kind, patient and efficient. Great experience.
Got antibiotics for UTI, went on a weekday afternoon. It was not crowded. When I left early Eve it was packed.!
Been here twice an every time I am seen quickly a pleasantly, Thank you Action urgent care.
I would give it a no stars if possible. I went in for a visit because I have something stuck in my throat. The medical team said they couldn't do anything and told me to go to ER. The visit was literally less than 5 min and I got a bill fro $250. This is ridiculous!! I would avoid this place. Complete scam!
Friendly staff. Just wish they would have told me they were out of network when I gave my insurance
I would give zero stars if I could. I went with insurance and they never told me upfront that they were out of network. They should have explained that patients should always be told what their financial responsibility will be before receiving care. This feels dishonest and misleading. The guy who collected my symptoms information didn't seem like he knew what hes doing.
I would give zero stars if I could. I went to this urgent care with Cigna insurance, and they never told me upfront that they were out-of-network or that I would be billed the entire cost of the visit. I only found out when I received the bill. This feels dishonest and misleading — patients should always be told what their financial responsibility will be before receiving care. If they don’t accept my insurance, they should have clearly explained that, not let me find out the hard way. This experience feels like a scam, and I will never return.
We gave blue shield, but they want to charge my wife a 200$ deductible upfront. Meaning she has to pay that first to see a doctor. She went to a different place and they only charge her 35$ copay. Which is normal everywhere else.
I should’ve gotten her name but I forgot. I came here one evening suffering from terrible sciatic pain. I could barely walk through the door. My cousin had taken me. We do the usual exchange of insurance and then she tells me I have to pay $250 because we haven’t reached our limit on our insurance. I’m no insurance expert but I call my parents and they tell me to ask them to bill the insurance company. She refused and said they wouldn’t be able to see me unless I paid the $250 even though my insurance card says “$30 urgent care co-pay”. I’m in so much pain at the point because i’m standing (this makes sciatic pain worse, idk if they had wheelchairs or not cause I was never offered one even though I had an apparent inability to walk) at the desk I start crying. I ask her is there really no way I can just pay the co-pay? She said no and if I was in so much pain I should go to the emergency room but I couldn’t go to the emergency room… who was going to pay for that?? If I already couldn’t pay the $250 why would it be a good idea for me to go to the emergency room. So I can be more stressed about money and continue to make my health worse?? I’ve dealt with sciatic pain for a lot of my life and was hoping to get a steroid shot to help alleviate my pain. I ended up just bitting my tongue and just doing it with no meds. I crawled to the bathroom for the next three days. I’m writing this review now because I genuinely thought there was nothing she could do and i sobbed my way home. Shortly after I went to another Action Urgent Care (same company) in San Jose and guess what… I only needed my $30 co pay and they billed it to my insurance.
They took time to ask about my history and listened without interrupting. The doctor seemed focused but calm and made sure I was comfortable. They explained what they were looking for and gave helpful advice moving forward. The place is basic but gets the job done.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
