Claudio S. Contreras's Online Review Report Card

After an appointment for my grandma with Dr. Contreras, we have never experienced such negative service. My grandma speaks little to no english and he was not patient with her. This the first doctor we have experienced this with and it is sad. He tried explaining the issue with her eyes multiple times and we even had a family member translate better over the phone but then he raised his voice at us became frustrated when my grandma wasn’t understanding what he wanted. We then explained everything he said slowly for her when we got home. The other staff in the office were kind, welcoming and knew how to speak and guide my grandma through tests without being frustrated.

Are they KIDDING me??!!? The same old problem again?The very 1st & LAST time that I went to this eye doctor was 13 years ago.Back then, his office staff were VERY disorganized, rude & didn't seem to care about their jobs on TOP of messing stuff up for me when I was there for my appointment.They were HORRIBLE when it came to answering your calls, so I never went back.NOW, 13 years later... what has improved -- has ANYTHING?????I called and left a message there THIS MONTH asking for them to return my call regarding getting my records from them because I now live in a different city. -- I said my phone number VERY clearly & slowly 2 times ... but ...... do you think that they have called me back yet??I know that a LOT of professionals have been messing up in the last 2-1/2 years & some can honestly blame their messups on the headaches, frustrations & fears that C-19 has brought to everyone ... but, COME ON NOW...... this office's LOUSY SERVICE started way before I went there in 2013 & before covid got here ... NO excuse!!

So great to come back to an excellent physician and professional individual well versed and trained in his profession! Support staff was great to deal with as well - very courteous and professional. I appreciate Dr. Contreras level of expertise, gracious share of his time, and knowledge. I look forward to next year's visit!

Doctor Contreas is a very caring and is thorough in his examinations. He explains everything to you and is more than happy to answer any of your questions. He takes his time and doesn’t rush you out. To me this is very important, this means that he cares for his patients not like some doctors that just want to get as many as they can through the office daily $$$. I’d say he is very well respected for his dedication to his patients and their eye care.

Excellent doctor, staff and service!

Les faltó el respeto a mis abuelos. Vergüenza de "Doctor." Nunca más aquí. Y para acabarlo, a mi abuela le dejo mal el ojo. Disrespectful towards my grandparents. He is a joke of a "Doctor." Never again. And to top it off, he left my grandma's eye bad.

Arrive at 1:50 for 2pm appt, now 3:15 without seeing doctor. Rude office manager or some sort of authority figure. Why does the East Side always have inefficient waiting rooms and rude staff? Will not return, looking for other options in Sunnyvale or Mt. View even if gas prices are rising! I tired to support my local’s, but why be treated like this? One star for Technician’s courtesy and friendliness.

Dr. Contreras and his entire staff are so wonderful at excellent customer care and are committed to helping you with the best treatment for your eyes! I look forward to every visit!
