List of Competitive Edge Physical Therapy's Reviews
Highly recommend! I came into Competitive Edge when I got injured 5 weeks before my first marathon and I'm so glad I did. Courtney had no doubts that I would be able to get back to healthy in that time. She had me do a gate analysis (their treadmill and sensors give an infinite amount of data) and created a plan that we worked on together for the next few weeks and, sure enough, after some hard work I was able to do the race! Overall, the PTs at Competitive Edge really know their stuff and they take the guess work out of things with the tech they have in the office. I continue to go to CEPT to work on my running form and build weak muscles so I can avoid injuries in the future. I've been to a few other PTs in the past and can honestly say this is the best practice by far. I no longer feel like I'm just putting a band aid on the problem. If you're considering physical therapy at all, go see them! Especially Courtney and Jake!
I’ve been working with Tim Dempsey at Competitive EDGE for over a year and highly recommend both him and this well-equipped facility. Tim has always adapted our sessions to my current needs and has helped me take a proactive, sustainable approach to injury prevention and an active lifestyle. He always offers supportive suggestions and exercises that I can realistically work into my day with available equipment. I always leave our sessions feeling encouraged and motivated.
After years of dealing with pain that ended in a torn plantar fascia and fractured heel, I knew I needed to find a PT who could help me figure out what was going on functionally with my movement. Courtney started from square 1 at the foundations of breathing and got me back to jogging pain free. Everyone on the team is great and really care about the people they're helping!
I hadn't run long distance in over 20 years and decided to get back to it this year. Naturally, I injured my ankle in the process 🙂. Kelly worked with me to assess and address the underlying issues, and I ran my first 5k in under 30 minutes without pain. Would 💯 percent recommend to anyone having any injuries that might be preventing them from giving their best.
This place is AMAZING! I have been to a few different places for PT in my lifetime and this truly is the cream of the crop. 14 years ago I had labor and delivery complications and had dealt with pelvic alignment issues ever since. Last year I decided to pick up tennis again after not playing for years, and ended up in chronic pain and I could barely walk. I went to another PT at first, but I was making little to no progress. Courtney and Brad at Competitive Edge knew exactly how to not only address the pain but also helped strengthen me and correct other things, such as my gait, that were contributing to my difficulties. They went above and beyond my expectations. I am pain free AND playing tennis again thanks to their knowledge and expertise.
Competitive Edge literally saved me from an agonizing, 1+ year of severe back pain. I had experienced an acute back injury, resulting in severe sciatica and lower back spasms during the waking hours and while in bed, literally degrading my quality of life. I was desperately looking for answers, scouring the internet, taking NSAIDs, and Non-cortical Steroids, just to limit the pain. Not exaggerating, I was a sinking ship. I discovered Competitive Edge merely by walking right by them, and thought I'd give it a try. Through Courtney's studied, disciplined approach to my specific case, I was able to return to all my daily activities, including rejoining my soccer team, within a few months! I am forever grateful to Competitive Edge for healing me and will be a lifelong client to ensure that my body and mechanics are correctly working as intended!
Jake and James have helped me recover from a hip injury. I've been to another physical therapy but they didn't help so had to find another place. Here's a few things that make Jake/James stand out. 1.) They actually listened and diagnosed the issues. 2.) They come up with a program to address the root problems. 3.) In comparison to the other physical therapy, Jake/James have more advanced knowledge/experience. 4.) Schedule wise, they saw me quickly unlike the other place (booked up for 3 weeks). I came in not being able to run and 8 weeks later I can run without pain. I feel stronger and more confident. Another major difference is they are patient centric. Thank you so much for helping me get better and feel normal/healthy again.
I've been dealing with back pain for over ten years, and after speaking to different doctors and trying out the typical physical therapy treatments, I was left frustrated and worried about my future. I’m 54 now, and what started as a nagging ache in my lower back eventually led to severe episodes where I couldn’t move for a week. Being physically active through cycling, running, and working out, the thought of this pain becoming my new normal was terrifying. That’s when I found Competitive Edge and specifically started working with Courtney Sullivan. What sets them apart is that they don’t just offer temporary relief with hot and cold compresses or basic exercises. Instead, they focus on finding the root cause of the problem and teaching you how to correct it through movement. Courtney introduced me to something I hadn’t heard before—retraining the brain to help my body improve. At first, it felt foreign. I’d picked up exercises from YouTube or been told to just stretch or lift weights by other PTs, but none of that ever got to the heart of what was going on. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and, like many people, was basically told to pop some aspirin and deal with it. But Courtney’s approach was different. She taught me movements to get my pelvis back into its natural position, which relieved the pressure on my lower spine that had been wreaking havoc and causing those debilitating episodes. It wasn’t just about masking the pain; it was about re-aligning my body and reteaching my brain that it’s okay to return to a healthy posture. Thanks to Courtney and the team at Competitive Edge, I finally feel like I’m on the right path. I just completed a half marathon and experienced no pain during or after the race. I feel like a new person. Arthur Rodriguez --
When I first met Courtney I had recently herniated a disc in my low back and also had a lot of nerve damage throughout my body from an electrical injury. It’s almost impossible to find somebody to help treat an electrical injury, and Courtney remained dedicated to learn about it as she helped me figure out ways to improve mobility and strength. My life is better for having worked with Courtney. I could hardly walk, let alone be physically active. Life was difficult, and she proved to be an angel with her dedication to helping me figure out how to get my body to move better, feel better, and get stronger. I’ve been very active lately, and Courtney taught me a routine that can assist in getting my body back into alignment when I have bad days. Golf is difficult with my injury, but I’ve learned how to get back into alignment after too many swings on the course. I also know how to work on building strength in areas that help keep me in alignment. It’s helping a lot and my life is better because of you.
I came from another ACL rehab clinic. After 12 months of surgery, my progress was slow, still could not trop hop, could not run for more than 20 mins. So I decided to give competitive edge a try and immediately I realized that I should've chosen here at day one. I can't thank my PT Kelly enough for the incredible care and support throughout my ACL rehab journey. From my 1st free evaluation session, Kelly was knowledgeable, attentive, and encouraging. She made every session challenging but manageable, and her expertise gave me the confidence that I was on the right path to recovery. Thanks to Kelly, after another 6 months rehab, I am going back to ski this season!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
