List of Craig S. Bindi's Reviews
Writing an update: Full disclosure -- Dr. Bindi recently reached out to me (it seems due to my previous review) and expressed that they want to make sure I'm happy with the results of the procedure. He advised that I come back in for a check-up and to discuss my issues in more detail. I went back in, and they did the usual tests, although there is a fancy new machine they have that doesn't require dilation anymore. That was actually really cool! The machine takes a scan of your eye (painless) and produces a 3D visual of the inside of your eye in high detail, so it seems they no longer need to dilate your eyes for most checkups. Overall, the visit went well, and he explained his recommendations to me in great detail and the pros/cons of going under the laser again. We landed on trying a few things before jumping back into a laser correction. He assured me that if we decide to do a correction that it's all included at no extra cost. I decided to update my rating to 5 stars. My reasoning is most places don't care enough to reach out if they have a negative review. I appreciate that they took the time to read my feedback and to reach out to ensure I'm happy with the results and address any concerns I have.
If you are contemplating on getting lasik...don't! Just DO IT! I cannot count the times I've lost, scratched, sat, bent, broke, fogged and popped the lenses off my glasses. It's been 20 years since I've been wearing my glasses and I just decided on getting lasik. I chose Dr. Bindi because of the quality of service that he and his staff provides. I've been to 2 of his locations and they were clean and welcoming. They have the most updated equipments and everything there are high tech and new. Dr. Bindi and his staff were all very cordial and professional. When it was time to do the surgery, everything was prepped and Dr. Bindi himself walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable. At no time I was nervous or expected any pain. The procedure itself was done in less than 5 mins tops! If you ever had a puff of air in your eye from those tests...this is far less painful (no pain) at all! I am so glad I got this done and I do not regret it at all!! Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley is the sure way to go to get your eyes done. The consultation is free, so don't wait and just do it!!
Dr. Bindi is an amazingly talented, personable, and kind provider. I was extremely nervous but his staff was very kind and Dr. Bindi went out of his way to check on me before the procedure. He spoke to me during the procedure to explain what he was doing - which I greatly appreciated. Woke up to amazing vision (could read 20/20 line at my post op check up!) and even enjoyed watching World Cup matches sans glasses/contacts. Getting LASIK was such a great decision and especially under Dr. Bindi and his team’s care. Highly recommend! Dr. Bindi is the best!

I should have posted this in 2009. Dr. Craig Bindi did my Lasik and 13 years later I still have 20/20 vision. Thank you!
Absolutely amazing experience. No concerns at all from the moment I stepped into the building the first time with glasses and from when I stepped out after the surgery without. I only wish I'd had this done sooner. Wasn't painful at all, eyes are occasionally dry and easily managed with eye drops (which I shoulda been doing anyway instead of rubbing my eyes), and I can see! Absolutely recommend Dr. Bindi and the team.
I want this to be a PSA for those looking to see Dr. Craig Bindi for Lasik or any other related procedure he offers: You probably won't see him. I read many glowing reviews about Dr. Bindi and decided to call to schedule a consultation. He was booked a few months out but I made an appointment anyway. When I called, I specifically asked to see Dr. Bindi (not knowing there were even other docs in the office). They confirmed and sent a few other confirmations during my waiting period (emails) that I would be seeing him for the consult. When I got to the office, I said I had an appointment at X time for Dr. Bindi. They said OK and took me back to the patient room. I worked with a couple of different techs once I got to the room and after each one left, they both said "Dr. Ling will be in shortly". Who is Dr. Ling? I thought they were confused, or mixed me up with another patient. Sure enough, a Dr. Ling came into the office to talk about my Lasik procedure. Where was Dr. Bindi, the doctor I made an appointment with? Nowhere to be found. Apparently Dr. Ling is another surgeon in the office that I did not know about at all. Dr. Ling was nice and personable, but here's the thing: I made my appointment with Dr. Bindi based off of the many reviews and positive experiences people had with him specifically. Not Dr. Ling. I confirmed Dr. Bindi up until the day of the appointment. No one in the office ever once mentioned a Dr. Ling to me until I was already seen. I feel duped because I didn't know a single thing about Dr. Ling nor did I do any research on him before my appointment. I wouldn't have wasted my time traveling from out of the area to see a doctor I had never even heard of before... let alone trust him with my eyes! If they already are doing this sort of weird switch up to get people in the office, I wonder what else they're doing that we simply don't know about. I won't trust anyone with my vision that can't even be honest about what doctor I'm seeing. Please let this be a memo for anyone who is looking at at this practice for lassie or the like.
Waited a whole year to post this review! I've worn glasses since the 3rd grade and swapped over to contacts as soon as I could and have relied on both contacts and glasses pretty much my whole life. At just about -6.0 on each eye, I started to worry about my safety if I couldn't find my glasses for whatever reason during an emergency. On top of that, contacts would dry out my eyes so much that my eyes were constantly red and irritated. Glasses would give me a headache but if I didn't wear them, I'd get dizzy from the blurriness. Lasik had never been an option for me because I was terrified of stories my parents told me about people becoming blind/regretting their decision for life/etc etc. After dealing with recurring eye issues and having to worry about traveling, taking extra contacts, wearing glasses on long flights, etc, I finally decided to get a consultation with Dr. Bindi. I went to 2 other doctors to ensure I was a good candidate before deciding on a doctor. I would recommend going in for a consultation instead of reading too much on reddit since every person's eyes are different and the doctor knows best about what your options are! The reason I chose Dr Bindi over the other also very famous doctors, is because of his thoroughness, attention to detail, and customer experience. One of the other doctors only did video chats prior to the actual surgery (which made me uncomfortable), and the other doctor seemed too impersonal. Dr. Bindi met with me a few different times before I even made a decision. He was patient, kind, and took his time to address all of my concerns and fears. On top of that, everyone who I spoke with from the tech to the patient counselor are all so amazing (especially Matt!). I scheduled my surgery and once I arrived, the process was very smooth. They checked my eye drops, put in numbing drops and other pre op drops, gave me valium, and then led me to the laser room. I wasn't expecting to have my flaps cut and then have to walk into a different room for the actual procedure so I was fully panicked inside but it did not take long. (After the renovation, you no longer have to walk into a different room since both machines are in one room now!). For whatever reason, I had extremely bad eye pain for a week after surgery and recovery felt very slow. Dr. Bindi met up with me for every check up to ensure that my eyes were recovering well and when I had some astigmatism left, he gave me the option of getting an enhancement. This was the most important part for me because he followed through on making sure I was 100% happy with my lasik from beginning to end. Even up to this point where my vision wasn't perfect, it was still one of the best decisions I'd made in my life. Not having to rely on glasses and contacts took a huge weight off and gave me a different kind of freedom I never had. I waited almost a year and decided to go forward with the enhancement since my night vision with my left eye was uncomfortable with the remaining astigmatism. This time around, the process was so much easier. I was much calmer since I knew what to expect, and since my eye flap was already there, didn't have to go through that machine again. We went through the same procedure, which actually ended up taking a long time due to the renovations and changes, but everyone there was very nice about it. Surgery was extremely quick, and I took a long nap as soon as I got home. The "sand" feeling that I expected the first time is what I experienced this time around and it was very manageable. I took advil only on first day and was good to go by the next day. Vision was somewhat blurry over the first week and has been clearing up since. Lasik was truly life changing for me. Thank you Dr. Bindi and team!
