Dominique C Boillot's Online Review Report Card

I visited Dr. Dominique Boillot back around 2010 for a routine physical exam. To my surprise (not in a million year), I was billed for more than $800 with corporate insurance coverage. Before Sutter Health I had Kaiser insurance and Blue Shield PPO, I have never been charged (or minimum) for routine physical exams. Dr. Dominique Boillot and Sutter Health really opened my eyes what greed is. I asked Dr. Dominique Boillot how I was charged for cholesterol test in the physical exam. I have never been charged for that in all my previous physical. It’s preventive and should be covered. Dr. Dominique Boillot’s response is that only the very first time of your cholesterol test is preventive and all subsequent ones are not. My jaw dropped to the floor. I wondered if Dr. Dominique Boillot got a cut from his billing me. There other questionable charges in that physical. That’s my only and last time seeing Dr. Dominique Boillot. After that experience, I tried to stay away as from Sutter Health as far as I can. Sadly, it is “non-profit” and doesn’t pay tax but pay its executives and employees handsomely. For sure, Sutter health is in the business of for profit instead of caring patients. Unfortunately, later on due to my employer’s insurance, I have to deal with Sutter Health again and every time it left really bad taste in my mouth. Just hated Sutter Health.

Very competent and encourages healthy habits!

Dr Boillot is the best primary doctor I have ever been able to see! I would highly recommend seeing him if you are looking for a new doctor. He not only is incredibly bright but he knows what he is doing with the medications he is prescribing. I have had times when I have had medical emergencies and he has fitted me in his schedule even when he was booked up. He also is incredibly fast about email responses and really cares about your health and will do everything he can to help you!

I have been going physical checkup every year for 30 years, my latest doctor retired. First time I've visited Dr Boillot, and he has no smile. I have never seen a doctor without smile. HIs tone was serious on everything, like I am his kid that had done wrong. He lectured me what I should do and what I should eat. But I am sure he is a good person.

I found Dr. Boillot to be very polite and warm. He was very concerned with my well being and was very helpful with a good diagnosis.

Dr. Boillot seems to be put out every time I see him. Personality of a cold fish. Never positive,always makes you feel guilty for wasting his time.

I always feel so sad after meeting with Dr. Boillot. Very arrogant. Asks if you have concerns, then you tell him your concerns and then talks down to you as though you're an idiot.

Spends minimal time with patients, barely glances over charts. Treats weight-related problems as a moral failing that renders the patient unworthy of attention, rather than being a medical issue to be addressed.

He was in a hurry to leave the room the moment he entered. Was not at all concerned with diagnosis and felt like he is just not interested in listening to me. I went for a routine yearly physical, and he refused to order the routine preventative tests. Avoid this doctor.

I am writing this review as the first interaction with doctor starts right from the time of taking an appointment and the experience that me and my friend got while doing just that did not allow us to proceed with visiting the Doctor.I and my friend entered the details on the online appointment site. It took days to get a response back for me. My friend has still not heard back.Since the appointment given did not work for me, I called and tried to get it re scheduled. The process was long, irritating and was full of things like 'Oh I could see the appointment you asked but it is no longer there'!!!!!!!.Anyways, after all the harassment, I finally got an appointment in the future when aliens will invade earth, and guess what, two days before the appointment I got a call. They just realized that there is a meeting at the time of my scheduled appointment!!!!. I was again given a date in future when the aliens will be ruling us, but this time, I was better equipped and cancelled the appointment. I found it better to look for another doctor rather than going thru the drill again.Long story short, not sure how good the doctor is, from other reviews and the fact that I was ready to trust him, he appears to be good, but if they can't handle appointments without getting arrogant and cheeky, I think there are better options available. My last thought before cancelling the appointment was 'Is there some other way that I don't know to get / influence appointments with this Doctor?'
