Dr. Tong is very thorough and smart about all the current health issues. He takes the time to answer all my questions and is very knowledgeable regarding my health issues ( translate that to: he reads my chart before I get there). He makes healthy suggestions for better living and stays on top of my health file reminding me to get in to do maintenance , like mammograms etc. He is an excellent Physician. I recommend him highly

Dr. Tong is a good doctor, but he seems to be under a lot of stress after years at SutterHealth. He only sees patients now a days 2 to 2&1/2 days a week, he can get impatient if you start to ask questions that might be obvious to a doctor but not a patient.

Dr. Tong is a good doctor, but he seems to be under a lot of stress after many years at Rainbow Clinic. He only sees patients 2 to maybe 2&1/2 days a week now, he can get very impatient if you ask questions that might be obvious to a doctor but not a patient. It's unfortunate that after all these years, he has become a doctor who doesn't seem to enjoy seeing patients now, perhaps that's why he is in administration more than half of the time during a week.

Still very happy with Dr. Tong. When we switched from a PPO plan to an HMO he offered to (& took the time to) explain the implications, advantages, and disadvantages in a clear, succinct way. My husband and I have been very pleased with him.

Dr Tong always gave me time to ask questions, and explained my medical condition and treatment to my understanding. I can always count on dr. Tong answers my questions about my concerns on condition or treatments in timely matter not only at clinic but also thru email.

Both my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Tong for the last 12 years. He was the one to catch a diagnosis with my husband that likely saved his life.I have found him to be a good listener and willing to take the time needed to resolve the issue your are in to see him for. Although I don't see him very often (a good thing!), he always knows who I am, knows "my story", and asks how my husband is. He truly has your best interest at heart.

No follow up at all after the test result. I have to look for another doctor to prescribe drugs to kill the bacteria inside my stomach!!

Our family has been going to Dr Tong for many years. He is the best doctor that we have had over the years. Very professional, knowledgeable and patient. Dr Tong takes time to answer our questions and concerns. He is also accommodating when we need something done within a timeline.

Dr. Tong is very open and able to discuss any and all issues intelligently. I find him to be kind, clear and able to make sure I get the info and not be a procrastinator. He never rushes me and I feel very comfortable with him. Few tears back I was very sick and in denial-he took care of me immediately and made sure I was referred to the right specialists to meet my complicated needs. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to be an active member of their own care team.
