Durga Madala's Online Review Report Card

Before I had any need for a Cardiologist, a close friend of mine Mr. Mehrabi told me how impressed he was with a cardiologist's attention to his problem and the number of tests she had run thoroughly, to put his mind at peace. I am 86 years old and for the past 65 years I have known about an indigenes heart murmur from one of my heart arteries. Every time I have seen a new doctor, he has sent me to a cardiologist to make sure nothing is serious. Having this anomaly in my case, it motivated me to get the name and number of the cardiologist that my friend was so happy with, Doctor Madala.Five days ago, I got a horrible attack by heart beets and shortness of breath, at 2;30 in the morning, I was rushed to Samaritan emergency where I was told Dr. Madal has very competent team and associates for surgery, by noon all diagnostic tests and surgery were done, and I escaped a certain heart failure.In the afternoon for the first time, I met Dr. Madala with her charm and kind concern, giving me the impression of being my family member. I congratulate Dr. Madala and her outstanding associates in Samaritan Hospital, and feel indebted to all of them for saving my life.

Booked up for 3 months! Apparently, its tough to get in to see a cardiologist in less than 3 months. After a horrible experience being put off, and rescheduled frequently for a period of 2 months by another well known Los Gatos Cardiologist, I was referred to Dr. Madala. I was pleasantly surprised when someone in her office answered on the first call, but then was put on hold for 16 minutes. Anyway, that's just the world today. I was excited when the person came back on the phone. When I asked for an appointment, the person immediately informed me Dr. Madala was booked solid for the next 3 months. I then began to ask, what does your office do with patients that need to see a Dr. sooner than 3 months? As I began to speak, the person interrupted me and began telling me about how all the emergency visits were taken and there's nothing she could do. As if she gives this answer so often, she didn't need to allow me to finish my question. I said excuse me, may I finish my question? I was then allowed to finish speaking with disdain and a huge sigh. The person responded by restating how busy their office is. I said that is not what I am asking. She then said sometimes patients will go back to their primary care physician and ask them to either speak directly, Dr. to Dr., or refer to another cardiologist. I said "Thank you so much for your answer." and wished the person a wonderful day and happy holidays. I was 100% sincere in my communication. As the person hung up, I heard her say "that guy was so sarcastic!" Wow. I think people forget what it is like to allow someone else to speak, take the time and care to listen to what is said, then respond with an answer that matches the question. I love to write positive reviews, but I will always review my experience in a fair and unbiased manner.

I have had a HORRIBLE time getting someone on the phone simply just for a fax number to send over a referral. Was on hold for 10 min girl who answers phone is so rude. She just puts phone on hold without saying anything. People like this should not be working with the public especially the sick.

OK! Where should I start. I don't think there is any cardiologist as caring, loving and knowledgeable as Dr Medala. She has been taking care of me for for the past 10 years. Her staff is amazing. all of them will try their best to make you feel comfortable and give you the best care. they respond so fast whenever I either call Or need medical advice. I'm so thankful for all they do especially in this difficult time.

Dr. Madala has been my Cardiologist for close to 20 years and there is no one else I would trust. She listens to my concerns, makes sure my heart is staying in good shape, and is so thorough. I can't imagine getting better care with anyone else. Others note it is a busy office--DUH! If she wasn't one of the best, it wouldn't be busy now would it? Can't sing her praises enough!
