Wish I could give it a lower rating, but I guess they get the one star for actually picking up the phone in a time where most places avoid the conversation.I was asked by my doctor to find an Ophthalmologist to give me a Field of Vision test, due to a microedenoma on my pituitary gland. This was the first Dr. I called. I already knew they took my insurance, because I spoke with the insurance company and I was on a PPO plan, so shouldn't have been a problem. When I explained what was going on to the person who answered the phone, they said that they would need a referral. I asked if that was true because I was on a PPO and she put me on hold to check. She came back and said that she would need a referral regardless of Insurance Plan. I then asked what if I were to pay cash and would that make a difference. Her reply was, "If you are going to give me a hard time, I don't need this." I didn't realize that I would be unable to ask questions. I don't need a Dr. office that takes a authoritarian stance on its patients either. I guess it's off to the next on the list. Maybe they will accept cash and new patients, not just put so in writing. For potential new patients, I recommend you ask if they really accept new patients first or if they need you to do a song and dance prior to making an appt. I've also notified my insurance company that these guys seem to have a different process they follow vs. what the insurance states on their website page.Note: My apologies to this person I spoke with. I'm only realizing now that maybe she was just hired to deflect people vs. answer questions. Maybe the person reading this can let her know that she can pass the call to someone that can answer questions regarding the practice.
I have to agree with everyone here - Dr. Saub and the entire crew are fantastic. I have not had need for an ophthalmologist before, but recently had a rather odd issue with an eye. We found this office yesterday, spoke with the team over the phone and filled out the paperwork. That same day they scheduled an appointment for first thing the following day.Upon arriving I was greeted by Martha at the front who reviewed my information as a first time patient, and was seen within a few minutes by Bill who got me started. After we went through the initial consultation, Dr. Saub introduced himself and we went through step-by-step everything that I had to look forward to.You can 100% tell that each person I interacted with truly cares about their patient. From listening, to communicating what it is that they are doing, to little details like turning off the lights when you're walking out of the room. I've got a bit of experience with doctors, and sincerely this operation and the people (and their personalities!) are A+. I highly recommend.
Terrible expereince. The website directs you to fill out their online forms including a complete list of your medications. It then directs you to fax the form to their office and request an appointment. I had to go to postal annex and pay to have the 6 pages faxed. The office called to ask which doctor referred me. I told them my Doctor was Robert Norman (Stanford network).I was then told they really weren't not accepting new patients . I was directed to go to my Doctor and get a written referral. Only then, the Doctor would consider if he would accept me or not. Are you kidding me?#1 If the Doctor is not accepting new patients UPDATE your website. Why put people through all of the form filling and fax exercise. #2 I gave you the name of my Doctor but you want me to go through more hoops and get a written referral and then you might accept me or not? Very unprofessional and disorganized.

Great Doctor. And staff!
Dr. Saub is a rare find. He has been treating my elderly father for more than a decade. He is so patient, kind and knowledgeable. Because it is only him practicing in the office, you get the A+ exclusive treatment focusing on quality over quantity. All of the staff are so welcoming. I feel lucky to have him as my father's dr.
This guy is off. Stay away. He doesn't know what he's doing.
Dr. Saub is amazing. I did my research before deciding on which specialist to go to & Dr. Saub was top of my list. My optometrist also referred me over to him as well so I knew he must be good. Dr. Saub looked at my case and asked to see me right away because my eye pressure was really high. He was super informative about my eyes and turns out, I have glaucoma. Dr. Saub was very kind and reassured me that I'll be okay as long as I am consistent with my treatment. I'm beyond amazed at how knowledgeable he is. He was very detailed and explained everything in depth so I had a better understanding of my eyes. It was so reassuring to know that my eyes are in good hands. Martha and Bill are also great. Super kind when I came in for my appointment and took really good care of me. So glad I was able to book an appointment here. Honestly one of the best places to go to if you're ever having eye problems. 10/10 recommend you come here!
Fantastic, well informed, caring ophthalmologist who spends time with patients. This doctor saved my vision. His office staff-Bill/optician & office manager, and Martha, front desk/scheduling are also top notch.
Dr. Saub is the best eye doctor you can find. He is very professional, knowledgeable, patient and funny! He can explain eye problems in the simplest ways so that we understand. I still remember how Dr. Saub educated me about "eye structure" and all the medical terms related to eye diseases (on my first appointment with him 2 years ago). Thank you Dr. Saub. -- Ana C.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
