Dr. Yang inserted a toric Vivity lens in my left eye after cataract surgery and I can now see 20/20 in that eye without glasses. My right eye does not need surgery yet. The doctor explained in detail what my choices were and what to expect for each, including possibly needing reading glasses at times. My left eye has not seen this well without glasses since I was a teen-ager! Every single person in the office is capable and courteous. Dr. Yang's goal is to help his patients achieve good vision, according to their eye condition and needs, and he will listen to your opinion and field your questions. He pays attention to the details. I have great confidence in his judgement and skill.

Used to better. Office has gotten too busy. Doctor is always running late and hard to get staff to return phone call. Hard to get appointments.

Really amazing results. I was legally blind in my left eye and can now actually read text on my phone without glasses in a pinch. I chose the Vivity lens and couldn't be happier with my vision... no correction needed for distance and just light correction for reading.

I recently had cataract surgery in my left eye performed by Dr. Yang. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and the options available. I selected the J&J Toric lens. My vision in that eye is better now than it was with a contact lens before the surgery, and without the hassle of using a contact lens. In addition, I had a stent inserted to help lower the pressure in the left eye without the aid of pressure-reducing eye drops. I am very happy with the results, as I am with the results of the cataract surgery Dr. Yang performed on my right eye about 10 years ago.

Dr Yang did my cataract surgery on my right eye couple years ago and my vision is 20/20 since then without any problem.

Dr yang and his staff are consummate professionals, and besides that, they're just plain, warm people. Everyone in his office is kind and engaging. I had both eyes operated on for cataracts, and both came out perfect. The facility where the operations take place are equally professional and caring. Dr yang has a cute sense of humor and his assistants are warm, engaging and thoughtful. I would certainly recommend Dr. Yang and crew to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I saw Dr. Yang in August 2021 because of the Yelp reviews. I have followup appt. in April and they called me 2 days in advance to confirm my appt. but telling me that I need to be fully vax with booster or else I need to reschedule. I asked why they need all these information because no one asked about it last time when I was there. They said they are private company so they have the right to do it. Well, I understand. But letting people know 2 days in advance and expect everyone is fully vax does not make sense to me. What if I am not vax or not boosted yet? If this is your company policy, you should let your patient know ahead of time so they have enough time to get vax or find another doctor. To me, I don't agree with their policy so I ended up finding another doctor. When I requested for the medical hx they asked for $35. Well, I also understand some doctors charge for reports/photocopy but not for this doctor. Bottom line is if you want your patients to be fully vax with booster, inform them earlier and not the last minute.

Dr Yang's office staff is extremely well organized and friendly.I found that Dr Yang was very thorough in informing me of my options for cataract surgery and the different types of lenses available to me. I especially appreciated his willingness to answer my questions, and review information he had given me at a follow up visit . The whole cataract procedure went very smoothly, from the pre op visits, to the post op visits. The eye surgical center, where the procedure was done, was also very friendly and efficient. I am very pleased with the results of my cataract surgeries.

I’ve been a client of Dr. Yang for more than 10 years. This institution has provided hospitality and genuine service since day one. You always feel welcomed and treated as family. Dr. Yang and his supporting staff take interest in your eye health as well as your emotional well-being. You never feel rushed and if their is any issues with your vision, they always find a way to accommodate you. I speak highly of Dr. Yang and his team and always look forward to seeing them. The staff members at the San Jose Eye Institute are excellent communicators. They know and perform their duties with expert precision and knowledge, are very courteous, and they make sure you understand everything they are explaining to you. Dr. Yang is the ultimate in dealing with a nervous patient, kind, has sure hands when handling my eyes, and has a great sense of humor. He puts me at ease when performing delicate tasks by explaining every step during my cataract surgery and laser procedure. He's very knowledge and shares that information. Most of all, he loves his work and I can see it in his job performance. Would recommend him to the world!!!
