Jagat Satia's Online Review Report Card

I felt Dr. Satia provided care for the whole patient, not ordering more involved testing until a given finding or symptom justified. R. Satia was happy to facilitate any outside support for my medical care, or s often tolerated or incurring additional charges by others. Noted a negative reviewer, possibly concerned with lack of a definitive diagnosis: with regular office visits, combined with pulmonary function testing, not certain a definitive diagnosis is always possible. The real difficulty came during the pandemic, when Dr. Satia’s front office assistant, and his wife simply blocked my access to the physician: will wonder if my respiratory compromise, with emergency intubation, might have been prevented had I been permitted to speak directly to physician, not just his wife.

Dr. Satia was extremely professional, dedicated, and helpful in evaluating my mom's (89 years old) diagnosis via televisit meeting recently, during which he devoted over an hour of time explaining the best possible steps forward for my mom's circumstances, and had shown great care and attention to my mom's needs and made sure I understood everything. I felt very lucky to have Dr. Satia and highly recommend him! Thank you Dr. Satia for all of your help!

DR SATIA, Absolutely saved my life . With great care and great bedside manner...he won’t stand for you to not listen and believe him...he knows what is best for you and when he says get out of bed and walk ...it is because that is what you need to do!!! He is comforting when you are scared and firm when he wants you to buck up and fight the infection !!! He is not above consulting with other doctors and will pull into the case the other experts to help ....all around great doctor!

Dr. Satia saved my life.

My previous review became "not recommended," so I am doing another review. I left the doctor a message today (Sunday), and he returned my call. In 2007, I was in Los Gatos Community Hospital and he saved my life. He has the experience and intellectual capacity to solve difficult acute health issues. He saved me from dying from eosinophilic pneumonia. Had he not arrived one the scene, the interns would have kept pumping me full of antibiotics, which were already killing me.

Likeable man ... Feel he is not up with the latest studies In curing pulmonary problems ... Not good with explaining the problem Uses a negative approach... very dissatisfied with his bed side manner

He truly saved my moms life while in the hospital at good samaritian . He later became her doctor and had been wonderful. He was honest, personablel and knowledgeable . My mom wasnt thrilled with most doctors but thought very highly of him. He visited her often in the hospital and helped her throughout her illness for many years.

I wish there was a way to put zero stars. He is straight up the worst physician I've met ever. I was referred to him by my knee surgeon to have pulmonary work up before my surgery. The entire appointment he spent on telling me that I'm fat and should get a gastric bypass. He doesn't even know my medical history to know why I'm getting the surgery and didn't even care to know it. That would've clarified to him why I've gained so much weight. His office was very disorganized. When my doctor tried calling and speaking with him, he yelled at my doctor and staff on the phone. This left my doctors with no information for test results. I think this was very unprofessional and my care was not handled well. His bedside manner was terrible. I would not recommend him to anybody. If you want to be treated with respect, don't go there.

Dr Satia was referred to me by my GP ... who has been my GP for 25 years. I have developed the symptoms of COPD at age 67 after being that guy who very rarely got sick in my adult life. I've never even had the "Common Cold". Dr Satia is that very rare Doctor who takes an amazing amount of time speaking with you & finding out all that needs to be known about his patient. He is warm & friendly & made me feel like he truly cares. He was extremely thorough in the tests he had done on me without going to extremes where you begin to think maybe it's too many tests being done for whatever reasons. My symptoms are gone & stabilized ... but I know I'll be dealing with these issues every Winter because of the Season & the fact that I spend amazing amounts of time with my little Grandchildren who bring home every germ floating around school... & I know Dr Satia will be there when I need him.

This is a super caring excellent Doctor who tested my lungs and when that was not the reason for my shortness of breath referred me back to my cardiologist for a cat scan which revealed a pulmonary embolism my second one in less than a year. Staff were also great.
