List of Raymond Silva's Reviews
Dr. Silva has been my surgeon since 2014. I was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer. Dr. Silva performed my biopsy's & eventually after chemo & radiation, removed the first & second lobe of my right lung. He came into my room everyday was always upbeat & positive & full of encouragement & support. He apologized to me because he originally told me he was going to remove the first lobe & lymph nodes but he had to remove the second lobe also. He felt very bad about that. I have never had a Dr. that was so wonderful & his bedside manners are absolutely the best. All of my Dr's are amazing. Dr. Silva saved my life & me & my family are so grateful & appreciative for the second chance of life. If you need a thoracic surgeon, you should consider Dr. Silva. His staff is very pleasant & professional & has always gone the extra mile for me. Everyone at Good Sam has the upmost respect for him. Thank you Dr. Silva for all that you have done for me. You are the best of the best & you deserve ten stars!!
Dr. Raymond Silva was wonderful. A surgeon who I put my husbands' heart in his hands. He knows what he is doing. My husband is completely better and more healthy and active than ever! Dr. Silva was very personable and professional. We both love him very much. Thank you, Dr. Silva
Excellent
Dr. Silva was very easy to talk to and he took his time and we have never felt rushed or hurried. I like that Dr. Silva said to us, "if you have any questions about the upcoming surgery, you can call me anytime". I ended up calling him about a week later and he called back right away, and answered my questions. After the surgery I got sit down and talk to doctor about my husbands surgery and he was so nice and still his bubbly self after a long 5 plus hour surgery. He's great and he has such a beautiful smile, very happy man. Cute too :)
I was in severe pain after a lung biopsy surgery done by Dr Steven Schwartz. Unfortunately I can not tolerate any pain meds except for Dilaudid. I was sent home with Tylenol 3 which made me horribly sick. I was told to stop the meds and just take Tylenol. Well the pain was like torture and I finally called my dr's office # on Sat. night, Of course he wasn't there. The dr that called me back after being paged was Dr Silva. He refused to call in my medication, refused to talk to Dr Schwartz to verify my story, didn't bother to say he would look at my records. He just said he didn't know me snapped "Go to the ER!" He basically treated me like I was drug seeking instead of a 53 year old woman who was seeking pain management! He was very condescending and rude during the whole conversation. I would NEVER trust a doctor that treated a patient the way he did to me!
This doctor is skillful, compassionate and thoroughly professional in all interaction with cardiac patients and their families. His surgical skillls inspire confidence within his team and his ability to feel empathy and humility are exceptional. I recommend him without hesitation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
